Electromechanical Relay Products

Throughout the years, DARE has supported the military, aerospace and ground power industry with custom and unique electro-mechanical relays. Whether for a new application or a retrofit, DARE specializes in meeting the customers needs for special electro-mechanical relays. Working with the customer, DARE can supply an electro-mechanical relay to a customers specific requirement whether they need a special footprint, mounting arrangement, or enclosure, DARE will work with the customer to meet their exact needs. In addition, DARE will work with a customer to supply a fit, form, and functional replacement for an old, obsolete, or discontinued electromechanical relay. These fit, form, and functional relays will fully satisfy the physical, electrical, mechanical, and environmental performance requirements of the original device and allow the military or other user to keep aging aircraft flying and systems operational. Many of the electro-mechanical relays supplied by DARE are designed to meet the stringent requirements of MIL-R-6106 (now MIL-PRF-6106) and MIL-R-5757 and perform under the severe environmental requirements of aerospace or military usage, and several of DAREs electromechanical relays are listed on the Qualified Products List (QPL) for MIL-PRF-6106. These relays include: AN3306-2 and MS25917-1.

Frequency Monitor Products

DAREs frequency sensors and monitors are available in both AC powered and DC powered models in a wide variety of standard or custom enclosures. Used in aircraft, ground support equipment (GSE), ground power applications, and other military and industrial applications, DARE frequency sensors, monitors, and frequency sensing relays will protect equipment that is sensitive to fluctuations in power line frequency from damage due to over and or under frequency conditions. When the power line frequency is within the specified limits, the output of the frequency monitor will energize. When the frequency is over or under or outside the specified frequency range, the output relay of the frequency sensor will de-energize. Among the many various types of frequency sensors, DARE offers:400 Hz fixed and adjustable underfrequency and overfrequency sensors400 Hz fixed and adjustable band pass frequency sensors60 Hz fixed and adjustable underfrequency and overfrequency sensors, and60 Hz fixed and adjustable band point frequency sensors Design features include:Built-In Hysteresis to eliminate chatter due to small frequency changes, andMaximum circuit flexibility to meet your needs In addition, DARE can manufacture frequency sensors, monitors, and frequency sensing relays that do not require supplementary (other than input) power to operate.

Solid State Relay Products

DARE Electronics solid state relays incorporate advanced microelectronic hybrid technology and are available from low level to 50 amps. Solid state relays have distinct advantages over electro-mechanical devices including: no contact bounce, arcing or flashing; immunity to contact contamination and oxide formation in dry or normally open circuits; and immunity to shock and vibration thus preventing unwanted contact closures. Furthermore, DARE's solid state relays yield much longer switching life, higher reliability, and reduced electromagnetic radiated and conducted emissions. Features include:Optical or transformer input to output isolationZero voltage turn-on; zero current turn-offLogic compatible input current levels3 phase load switching capabilitiesHybrid microelectronic designHigh transient immunityFast switching speedSnap action switching General SpecificationsWhile DAREs solid-state relays are available in a wide variety of custom configurations, these general specifications represent some of DARE's current product capabilities: Solid-State RelaysInput VoltagesFrom 3 to 200 VDC or 3 to 440 VAC Temperature Limits-55C to 110C (Optical)-55C to 125C (Transformer) Load VoltagesUp to 500 Volts AC or DC Input to Output IsolationUp to 4000 VRMS Load CurrentsFrom low level to 50 amperes Available Outputs(AC) Triac or inverse-parallel SCR's, 1 or 3 phase(DC) SCR, MOSFET, Darlington or bipolar transistor
