The Divine Cutmaster Bias Buff is designed to meet the rigorous demands of automatic machinery operating at high speeds, with increased pressures and dwell times. The Cutmaster's puckered construction, coupled with the design of the air-cooled ventilated metal center, (removable or permanent) creates jet-steam ventilation for uniform airflow between the buffs assembled on the spindle. Air is drawn in through the metal center vents and centrifugally forced between the sections and outward to the face, which helps overcome excessive heat build-up encountered in automatic buffing. Cutmaster Bias Buffs are made in a variety of types to handle any job requirement from heavy, high-production cut-down to light coloring operation. These buffs work equally well for off-hand, semi-automatic and automatic operations. Cutmaster may be used on ferrous, non-ferrous, precious metals or plastics. Cutmasters run cooler, cut faster, wear longer than other types of wheels under high-speed conditions. They must be run between vented steel flanges at least 1" larger in diameter than the metal centers. In the Divine Folded Full Disc Buffs, the discs are folded into segments. Directional arrows on the buffs indicate correct rotation to "cut" and "color". Operated in the "cut" direction, the rotation firms up the pockets into an aggressive edge for cutting operations. Reverse the direction and the pockets open up, providing a softer face for flexible coloring action. Difolds hold compound better making them cut faster.Construction facilitates less sticking on work piece.Buffs are thicker than ordinary full disc buffs so require fewer sections per wheel (costing less per inch of piece).Divine Folded Full Disc Buffs are available in four constructions: 1. Untreated, this buff is soft and flexible, providing a nice cushion for highly contoured work. Used for light cutting and coloring. Ideal on light stock or thin gage metals. More material than standard general purpose bias buffs, lets this product wear longer and reduces set up time. Mill-treated or dip-treated, this is a very aggressive cutting buff which will still retain some flexibility. The many folds of material hold larger amounts of compound for greater aggression. Commonly used for cut down on brass plumbing fixtures and other irregularly shaped parts.
