U Frames

"U" Style Frames accept three types of companion insert molds - the standard style, T-style and the newly designed slotted insert mold (as seen below). These can be ordered in any thickness in which frame and insert stack height do not exceed the minimum or maximum shut height of the machine. The frame's open design permits installation of water lines or hydraulic cylinders on any side of the insert mold. Options include insulation boards, master ejector plates and master ejector plates with interlocking rails. DME offers a wide range of sizes to fit your injection molding needs. There are 30 different "U" style frame sizes. The smallest one is our 0505 UF 321, which holds two different insert size insert molds (3.25 x 3.75 and 4.0 x 4.7). The largest size is our 1826 UF 321, which also holds two different size insert molds (12.0 x 23.9 and 17.9 x 23.9). We are also willing to quote any custom work you may require. Dual-Ring Mold Dating Inserts

The Dual-Ring Mold Dating Insert from DME features a date insert valid for six years and is based on Indexable Mold Date Insert technology. The Dual-Ring Insert eliminates the need to install two date inserts or change the inner insert each year. The unit's outer ring displays 12 months (1 through 12), and the inner ring has 6 years and an arrow (the arrow points to the month). The center insert is an arrow that points to the selected year and adjusts the position of both arrows. DME's patented indexable mold date insert technology offers double indexable action in the Dual-Ring Insert's design, enabling both arrows to independently `click into position'.

Insulator Sheets

DME High-Temperature Insulator Sheets are used on molds and dies between the top clamping plate and the stationary platen, and between the bottom of the ejector housing and the movable platen. The thermal insulating properties of the unique asbestos-free, glass-reinforced polymer composite inhibit heat transfer from the mold to the platen, or from the platen to the mold (depending on the application), which helps conserve energy and prolong machine life. High-Temperature Insulator Sheets have excellent non-deformation characteristics and a compressive strength that's higher than asbestos and mica materials. DME Pre-Machined Insulator Sheets are designed to fit most standard mold base sizes. DME Pre-Machined Insulator Sheets include assembly screw hole clearance, locating ring clearance hole, and insulator sheet mounting holes. DME Pre-Machined Insulator Sheets are available in 14" or 12" thicknesses and are specifically designed to be 116" shorter on all sides to prevent sheet damage during mold handling.
