They are ideal for extreme temperature environments. Polyimide (kapton) heaters are constructed of a flexible lightweight organic polymer thin film with high dielectric capabilities while providing superior resistance to most solvents, oils, even radiation.

Utilizing state of the art heater technology, Durex manufactures precision cast-in bake platens specifically for semiconductor processing 200mm, 300mm, and 450mm wafers. The cast-in platen heaters are cast of pure aluminum (99.7%) to insure maximum operating temperatures of 450C (842F) with minimum risk of process contamination. The casting process is controlled to eliminate any defects in the machined surface or casting body that would be caused by porosity. A mineral insulated heating element is distributed throughout the casting to provide surface temperature uniformity of 1% or better of the process operating temperature. An available hard-anodized finish provides an abrasion-resistant dielectric barrier on the working surface of the cast-in bake platen heater.

The standard cast-in pedestal heater manufactured by Durex for semiconductor processing is designed to provide a quick solution for wafer processing applications. These cast-in heaters are designed specifically for 200mm, 300mm, and 450mm wafers. The standard design eliminates the need for costly tooling and mold design associated with new design custom heaters. They are ideal for research and development, rapid prototypes, and emergency repair requirements. A variety of options can be incorporated into the final cast-in product to customize the design for specific application requirements. These include a hard-anodized surface, lift pin holes, vacuum channels, and several electrical termination styles.

Durex's silicone rubber heaters take advantage of the unique properties of silicone rubber to provide flexible heating elements of unparalleled performance. Silicone rubber is calendared onto fiberglass cloth in a variety of thicknesses and constructions which serves as the basis for Durex's silicone heating elements.

The TAM style adjustable melt bolt thermocouple probe has a movable probe activated by an inner screw mechanism. The probe can be immersed into or withdrawn from the plastic melt stream while the extruder is in full operation at maximum flow rates and pressures.

Reliable and robust industrial thermocouples provide fast temperature response, can be applied in most temperature measurement and control applications, and are a cost effective solution. A thermocouple junction is a single point junction between two dissimilar metals. This junction creates a known millivolt level signal that changes as the process temperature increases or decreases. The millivolt signal is used as the temperature measurement input to a temperature controller. Depending on an application's process temperature range, accuracy specifications, and material compatibility, thermocouples are available in Type E, Type J, Type K, Type R, Type S, Type T and other dissimilar metals.
