They are miniaturized versions of series 27200. They are extremely compact (0.97 dia. x 2.063 long) and lightweight. The compactness is achieved by using the solenoid plunger to carry the valve poppet seal. Series 27200-Miniaturized valves employ a simple construction containing only one moving part. Each valve consists of a ported solenoid and an orifice in the seat. They permit flow to be shut off in either direction and allow either of the two ports to be used as the pressure port. Series 4700 valves are extremely reliable because their simple construction contains only two moving parts. They are lightweight and compact. Valve shut-off is accomplished by use of Valcors Floating Seal Principle. This utilizes an optically flat seat disc against an equally flat seat. The gate-type action actually wipes the seat clean with each valve operation.
