Fully Compatible EIA-530

The TD-1580 and TD-1581 pair together to form a powerful balanced serial data transport solution. The DB-25 connectors are pinned out to directly support an EIA-530 serial link. However due to the transparency and flexibility of the design, the TD-158081 can be used as 6x4 independent 6 Mbps RS-422 channels and 2x1 independent 256 Kbps RS-232 channels (see below for details). This incredible versatility can solve a myriad of serial data communications problems. Your once limited serial links can not only be consolidated but extended to over 20 Km on a single fiber pair. Multi-Data Interface

The MD-3 units are accessories for the LightViper Series 32 product line and are not stand alone products. They need to be connected to an existing LightViper Series 32 system to function. The MD-3 is used in pairs and will function utilizing the “Control” EtherCon® connector on Series 32 models including VIS-1832, VIM-1832, VIS-4832, VIM-1808 & VIM-0808. The MD-3 translates RS422RS232 or MIDI control information into TTL data. This data is then transported along with the audio input data (returns) from the FOH position to the Stage.

Base-T Ethernet

The FOI-1GBT provides complete electrical isolation for 1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet communications. The unit has an automatic MDIMDIX switch over capability that allow users to use either a straight or crossover cable for all LAN configurations. The copper interface is fully automatic. If TP+ and TP- are reversed, the unit will automatically swap the polarity internally. Similarly, if the transmit and receive pairs are reversed, the unit will automatically swap both pairs internally. Therefore, either a crossover or straight cable can be used. The unit can be used in areas of high electrical noise or in and out of RF shielded enclosures. The fiber optic cable is not susceptible to interference caused by impulse noise, crosstalk, or EMI. Privacy of communications is also enhanced because the fiber optic cable does not radiate any emissions. In addition, fiber optic cable offers much longer transmission distances than copper wiring. Traditional 1000BASE-T Cat5e cabling is limited to a maximum distance of 100m, but multimode optics on the unit can extend the distance to 550m, while singlemode optics can further extend the distance to 5km.A typical link consists of two FOI-1GBT, one at each end of the network, with a duplex fiber optic cable between them.

Traditional T1 cabling is limited to a maximum distance of 6200ft (1.89km), but multimode optics on the unit can extend the distance to 2km, while singlemode optics can further extend the distance to 20km. A typical link consists of two FOI-5401, one at each end of the network, with a duplex fiber optic cable between them.

Annunciator Speaker

The ADP-2981 ADP-2982 is a stand-alone wall or shelf mountable loudspeaker unit. Each unit houses and powers an 8-inch speaker and, in the case of the ADP-2981, a high-intensity strobe. The unit utilizes FiberPlex FOI series modules to extend Public Address and Mass Notification systems via fiber. External audio signals such as voice announcements, music, a doorbell buzz, etc. are first connected to a FOI-2981 or FOI-2983. This FOI unit then transmits the signal via a fiber optic link to a FOI-4982, conveniently housed and powered by an ADP unit. From there the FOI-4982 drives up to 10 ADP units in a daisy chain. Each ADP unit is equipped with an AC line-powered supply to drive the amplifier and supply DC power to an attached FOI module. The ADP-2981 also contains a strobe annunciator, useful for areas with high background noise or those with hearing difficulties. A knob on top of the unit controls the volume threshold that the audio must exceed for the strobe to flash.
