The CIRCOFLUX test system is used for the non-destructive surface testing of ferromagnetic steel bars using the magnetic flux leakage method in accordance with standard EN 10221. This method is the most sensitive surface testing method for longitudinal, crack-like defects in hot-rolled ferromagnetic steel bars. The CIRCOFLUX sensor system therefore replaces subjective testing methods such as the magnetic powder test (magnetic crack detection) and visual checks, which are difficult to document and reproduce. The available sensor systems cover a material diameter range from approx. 10 to 180 mm. FOERSTER's long-standing experience in this field ensures high operating reliability. The modular design of the test electronics is also ideally suited to meet future demand for ever increasing defect detection sensitivity.

The CIRCOSON WT sensor system works on the basis of the so-called EMAT (Electro Magnetic Acoustic Transducer) method. This method electromagnetically creates and receives ultrasound waves. The EMAT method facilitates ultra precision wall thickness measurements of ferromagnetic seamless steel tubes in accordance with international standards. The data is transferred directly to the CIRCOSON WT test and evaluation equipment where it is processed and analyzed. The system reaches a wall thickness measurement accuracy of approx. ± 50 μm and maximum throughput of up to 3.2 ms during continuous testing. The CIRCOSON WT system is often used together with the ROTOMAT and TRANSOMAT system. The latter perform additional material testing for longitudinal and transverse defects. As a complete system provider, FOERSTER develops tailored testing lines that perfectly meet your requirements.

The DEFECTOMETER is a modern, highly sensitive eddy current test instrument for manual crack testing. It can also be used for simple hardness testing and material separation. The unit features automatic lift-off, zero, and tilt compensation. The intuitive controls can be operated without prior knowledge. Typical applications include crack testing on turbine blades, wheel runs, rivets on aircrafts, bridges, rails, and gas pipes, and automotive components as well as simple material differentiation, determining various degrees of surface hardness, and detecting and determining the depth of cracks on semi-finished products.

The CIRCOGRAPH eddy current test system with rotating probes guarantees maximum detection sensitivity for exposed longitudinal surface defects on bright material. The test system is primarily used for wire drawing machines, Cu tube rewinders, and finishing sections in the bright steel sector. The individually tailored test systems by FOERSTER can be fitted with rotating sensors or CIRCOSCAN rotating discs. They scan flat and profiled material, e.g. when testing rails and billets. The modern test systems can be optimally integrated in your production process, including comprehensive documentation. Various types of testing sections are available for the assembly of separate testing lines, which ensures that the test material is transported optimally through the sensor system.
