- Tadpole seals are used in sealing oven doors, covers, ducts, dampers, panel joints and other applications where conformance to uneven flanges is required.

- Basalt Woven Fiber is an environmentally friendly alternative to fiberglass materials. With excellent tensile strength, excellent resistance to Acid and Alkali, High abrasive resistance and a high melting point. Basalt is made from an igneous rock originated from molten lava and is 100% Recyclable.

This fiberglass rope is made with six strands of fiberglass yarn. It is a medium density rope used primarily to seal around doors and panels.
Features:
Service rating to 1000F 538C. Flexible for installation around tight corners and friction fit "U" channels. These ropes are easily bondable with Gaskets Inc adhesive or optional Gaskets Inc pressure sensitive tape. Fiberglass is a cost effective thermal protection resistant to most chemicals (pH range 4 - 9) with the exception of Hydrofluoric and Hot Phosphoric Acid and wet Hydrogen Chloride. Fiberglass will not burn, smolder or absorb water.

Type 2 shown. Tadpole Seals are used in sealing oven doors, covers, damper blades, panel joints, ducting, expansion joints, burners and other applications where conformance to uneven flanges and surfaces is required. The tail or fin sections of the tadpole can be attached to metal or refractory surfaces by bolting or metal strapping, sheet metal screws, or by welding when the tadpole is made with metal mesh covers. Special application include extremely low, as well as extremely high temperature applications, as those found in cryogenics and refractory operations.

In addition to their use in various industries as vibration dampeners, noise reducers and heat exchangers, our flexducts are used where flash drying is employed in the production of coated papers and in the drying of ink in the printing industry. As a result, our flexducts can be made to withstand extremely high temperatures, under some of the most extreme toxic airstream conditions.
