Anthracite is the hardest and densest form of coal. It has a high percent Fixed Carbon and low percent Sulfur that makes it a very useful carbon source for the basic metals industry particularly steel. It is a carefully sized coal that has many metals applications.
The larger sizes such as Stove and Nut are applicable for charge carbon uses, medium sizes are useful in carbon additive situations while the smaller sizes are used after drying, as foamy slag or injection carbon for electric arc furnaces.
