SRD Duo-Tapes are silicone heaters, and differ from self-regulating heater cables in that this silicone industrial tape has a constant wattage output. This custom heating tape is constructed specifically for industrial applications that require continuous heat for process temperature maintenance. Sometimes a self-regulating heater cable doesnt cut it instead SRD Duo-Tapes, with their constant output of 15 or 30 watts per foot, can provide the heat needed for these applications. SRD, silicone heaters, are ideal for industrial applications that need continuous heat for process temperature maintenance. Other cables often fall short when exposed to high temperatures, but this line of silicone industrial tape is up to the task. These heaters have the ability to hold process temperature, where other cables dont. The Duo-Tapes can maintain continuous temperatures of up to 450 degrees F (232 degrees C) and even intermittent temperatures of up to 482 degrees F (250 degrees C). HTSAmptek developed this line of heaters to be similar to the higher watt density Laboratory ASR Silicone Duo-Tapes, but offer longer lengths, longer lead wire lengths, and rugged, lead wire terminations. Silicone Extruded Duo-Tapes

  • Power density: 4.3 w/in² (0.67 w/cm²)
  • Watts, Volts: 52W to 1040W, 120V or 240V
  • Lengths 2ft (60cm) to 40ft (1200cm)
  • Width ½ in (1.3cm) or 1in (2.5cm)
  • Heat Capability: 450°F (232°C)
HTSAmptek ASR Silicone Rubber Extruded Duo-Tapes may be operated to temperatures of 450F (232C) with short term exposure to 500F (260C). They are available in inch and 1 inch widths and lengths from 2 feet to 40 feet. The element is a knitted Duo-Tape for flexibility and durability, which allows both power leads to be on one end. This construction can operate with occasional moisture present, but may not be submerged. Duo-Tape heaters are extremely rugged. The Silicone outer cover allows them to be used on practically all surfaces, and for applications where moisture, chemical, and abrasion resistance is required. Do not overlap this element

Trace Heater Tape

  • Power density: 8 w/ft (2.44 w/m) at 50°F (10°C)
  • Volts 120V, 208V/1P or 240V/1P
  • Lengths 6ft (1.8m) to 60ft (18.3m)
  • Width, Thickness: 0.52 in (13.2mm) by 0.26 in (6.6mm)
  • Heat Capability: 150°F (65°C). Max Exposure, 185°F (85°C)
Heat Tracing is ideal for freeze protection, where tanks, pipes and hoses need to be kept warm. Typically, Heat Tracing Cable is available by the spool. However, AC8 Heat Tracing from HTSAmptek, is assembled into convenient lengths for installation without additional "kits" for lead and end termination. Able to achieve and maintain temperatures of up to 150 degrees F (65 degrees C) and withstand intermittent temperatures of up to 185 degrees F (85 degrees C) with power applied, these bulk heating tape elements will regulate the temperature of your plumbing and protect any tanks or pipes from freezing and cutting off the flow. Overlapping the heat tracing tape will not cause an issue if you need to layer on this protection. AC8 Heat Trace Tape is designed to handle being overlapped without overheating or burning out. Though heat tracing cable is typically sold by the spool, this can be inconvenient for smaller projects and applications. Because of this, HTSAmptek offers AC8 Heat Trace Tape in smaller, more manageable lengths that are more convenient to use. Plus, this tape doesnt require any additional kits for lead and end termination, making the installation process simpler and more convenient. Industrial Custom Tapes

  • Power Density Up to 13.0 w/in² (2.0 w/cm²)
  • Amox™ Fabric: 1112°F (600°C), max exposure 1400°F (760°C)
  • Power Density Up to 5.0 w/in² ( 0.8 w/cm²)
  • ASR Silicone: 450°F (232°C), max exposure 482°F (250°C)
  • Voltage 6V to 480V – DC, AC, 1 or 3 phase
Custom Designed, Special Heating Tapes offer a flexible, low cost way to apply heat to unusual areas. Valves, tubing, vessels or many other hard to heat surfaces, may be wrapped with custom configured Special Heating Tapes. Ideal for the Pilot Plant or Laboratory, these Industrial tapes have additional ruggedness for quick install and continuous use. The heating element is multi-strand resistance wire, braided with AMOX yarn and knitted into the serpentine shape to minimize thermal shock and tensile stress from expansion and contraction. Mono-Tape (1 wire), Duo-Tape (2 wire), or Trio-Tape (3 wire) may be used in single or multiple runs to achieve the desired geometry. Heat Capability: Silicone or Teflon Heaters, 482F (250C), or Fabric Fiberglass, 900F (482C) or fabric AMOX to 1400F (760C). Please note that exposure temperatures exceeding 800F for Fiberglass, or 1200F for AMOX, are not recommended if the Heating Tape would need to be manipulated once in place. (removed and reinstalled)
