L&Ts range of capacitor duty Contactors is specially designed for capacitor switching applications. As capacitor switching is associated with high inrush current, the contactors are provided with damping resistors which limit the value of inrush current to a safe value. The contactors are used in APFC panels for switching power capacitors. Harmonic Filtering Solutions

The increasing use of modern power electronic apparatus (drives, uninterruptible power supplies, etc.) produces nonlinear current and thus loads the network with harmonics.
