Our FLEXTOP Locknut is the premier all-metal locknut best used in demanding high vibration applications. This proven design is the ultimate all-metal locknut with the highest resistance to loosening of any reusable one piece nut. It works by allowing the crimped slotted top section to expand and grip the bolt as it passes through this area. Suitable for 800 degrees Fahrenheit, the FLEXTOP Locknuts meet the locking torque requirements of MIL-N-25027 which includes 15 unseated installation and removal cycles. Available from stock in four styles including full heightlight hex, full heightheavy hex, thin heightlight hex and thin heightheavy hex. Available in both carbon and stainless steel.

Automation Locknuts - Also known as Stover, Oval Lock, Cone Top and Unitorque, this style is used in high volume assembly operations. The cone shaped top allows for automated, high speed assembly with fewer temperature limitations. A top choice when a reusable, rugged, one-piece construction locknut is required. Available from stock in strength grades A, B and C.

Flange Locknuts are best used in areas where their larger bearing surface can cover oversized holes or bridge elongated slots. The additional bearing surface distributes the clamp load stresses over a larger area making it useful when mated with softer materials. In addition, use of a flange locknut eliminates the need for flat washers or lock washers, thereby speeding up assembly operations. Available from stock in various sizes such as small, regular and large, styles such as flat top and cone top, types include center lock, top lock and oval lock, and strength grades include F and G.

Center Locknuts offer the most economical and efficient locking features. Nuts can be assembled from either side, reducing automated assembly cost. Top Lock Locknuts install from one side only but allow you to run the nut on further before engaging the locking element.
