At Lynch Metals

Pre-Finished Products At Lynch Metals, we focus on the sign and roofing markets. In the sign market, we stock over 36 color combinations in master coil form. By limiting ourselves to our raw material source and our coil coater, we insure that our customers receive a consistent product in terms of color, flatness, and shape. pre-finished-products-2We provide painted product in flat sheet, coil, and blanks that are processed in-house on our specialized equipment. Channel letter coil can be shipped via UPS since all products are supplied as 70 pound coils that are packaged in individual, neutral cardboard boxes. Coils can be vinyl masked to prevent scratches on the painted or mill finish surface. Each box is easily identified in your racks due to our color code markings and size description on the side of the box. We recently installed a state-of-the-art blanking line that was specifically designed to our specifications. Custom blanks, complete with various rounded corners and hole diameters, are produced to your specific requirements. All blanks are vinyl masked to protect the painted surface in transit. Our three cut to length lines, which are equipped with Herr Voss Levelers, will provide the flattest sheet available. We can hold +- 132 on squareness and +- 164 on length. All three lines have the ability to supply vinyl in line to protect the surface of each sheet. The roofing and architectural markets utilize pre-finished sheet for end caps, soffits, and storefronts. Pre-painted and anodized sheets, as well as mill finish aluminum, are the main products used in the market. In addition to clear anodized coil and sheets, we also stock brite clear, brite brush clear, brite gold, and brite brush gold anodized coil and sheet.

Aluminum Alloy 6951

  • Model No. 6951
Aluminum Alloy 6951 is predominantly used to manufacture fins for heat exchangers in the aerospace market. Since 6951 is a heat treatable alloy, it provides additional strength to the fins while increasing sag resistance. heat-exchanger This additional strength also allows the manufacturer to reduce the gauge and subsequent weight of the formed fin. Due to these important attributes, aluminum alloy 6951 is the preferred alloy for heat transfer units manufactured for the aerospace industry. Lynch Metals has the largest inventory of 6951 coil in the world. By stocking wide width coils in a multitude of gauges, Lynch will slit to your specific width and quantity within three to five days from order placement. Whether you require one pound or ten thousand pounds, Lynch Metals will provide you with the quantity you require when you need it. Since this material is stocked in O temper in gauges as light .003 and as heavy as .015, Lynch Metals has invested in special slitting equipment to insure a burr free, tight, uniform coil. Our three Goebel slitters, along with our two Ruesch slitters and our high production Kampf slitter, were specifically purchased to slit this unique product. Lynch Metals takes extra precaution when packaging your slit coil so you receive it in perfect condition. Our sophisticated foam packaging equipment provides a protective outer shell that fully encompasses the slit coil packed within a heavy duty cardboard box. Material is easily identified with your part number by our computerized labeling system.

Aluminum Alloy 4047

  • Model No. 4047
Lynch Metals is the predominant distributor of Aluminum Alloy 4047 bare metal in foil, fin, and sheet in the world. This unique alloy is used in both the aerospace and automotive markets as a cladding alloy or filler material. As a filler material, aluminum alloy 4047 strips can be applied to intricate applications to bond two metals together. Alum-4047-(1)It is an excellent product for smaller production applications or for assemblies where the join is difficult to get to. In the case of smaller production runs, Lynch Metals is the preferred source since we can supply as little as one pound. Whether you require 4047 to be in coil or sheet form, we have the in house ability to slit, cut-to-length, or shear to the exact size you require. Our width and length tolerances are the tightest in the industry, therefore reducing your in-house scrap. Since our primary mill source produce only aluminum brazing sheet, we have available the thinnest 4047 in the industry. We can slit as light as .001 and as heavy as .125. In sheet form, we can supply material cut-to-length from .020 through .125. We can slit as narrow as .200 or as wide as 48 on our specialized slitters that only slit non-ferrous materials. Lynch Metals will supply a burr free, uniform coil that is tight throughout. Since light gauge 4047 aluminum alloy fin and foil is easily damaged while in transit, we take the extra precaution to package our material in foam when traveling a long distance. We also take great care in protecting our material when traveling shorter distances by packaging our material in wood boxes when needed. Our broad and comprehensive inventory of 4047 master coil is available in the following gauges: .001, .0015, .002, .003, .005, .010, .015, .020, .032, .063, and .125. We can also provide any additional thickness if a requirement approached an annual usage of 8 10, 000 pounds. Whether you need one pound or ten thousand pounds, Lynch Metals is the predominant supplier of Aluminum Alloy 4047 fin, foil, coil, and sheet product that will deliver what you need, when you need it.

Aerospace

At Lynch Metals, we have become a premiere distributor of fin stock and brazing sheet to customers in the aerospace industry. Our extensive selection of bare fin stock includes 6951, 1100, 3003, 4047, and 4045 in a variety of gauges as thin as 0.001. These alloys represent the most commonly used aluminum alloys in the aerospace sector and are all sourced from the most reputable mills. We stock 4047 coil as light as .001 and as heavy as .250. img-areospace-pgWe have the most comprehensive inventory of this product in North America. In 6951-O, we stock wide coil as light as .003 and as heavy as .012. Due to our mill affiliations we can provide the core alloy, clad alloy, and cladding thickness you desire for your specific application. All coil stock can be slit to the desired width and quantity needed from small prototype volumes to large full scale production quantities. Parting sheet is available in standard #8 and #12 designations as well as numerous other alloy combinations. Since brazing is referred to as a black art, no two companies braze exactly the same way. Therefore, there are a multitude of core alloy and clad combinations. We are recognized as a brazing sheet distributor for several mills, and possess the ability to provide the brazing sheet you desire for your specific application. Our proprietary MULTICLAD, three-layer part sheet consists of a 6000 series core with a 3003 interlayer and 4000 series cladding to provide superior brazeability and an optimal strength to weight ratio for aerospace applications. Because MULTICLAD has a 6000 series heat treatable core, customers can often reduce the thickness of material needed, reducing weight without sacrificing strength. In addition, we carry numerous stainless steel and nickel alloys that can be slit, leveled, blanked, and cut to customer specified length. Our robust processing equipment represents the most precise and efficient metal converting equipment anywhere and our quality management system is both ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100C certified. With distribution centers located on both coasts and custom stocking programs available, our team can develop an inventory management solution to ensure a supply of material is always available for shipment. Flux Brazing Alloys

  • Thickness 10% for .063”
No. 21 and 22 brazing sheet are typically used in Dip Brazing applications. No. 21 is one side clad and No. 22 is a two sided product, with each having a heat treatable core of 6951 and a cladding alloy of 4343. flux-brazing-alloys In Dip Brazing, air is excluded from the process since the parts are submerged in molten salt, thereby excluding exposure to air and subsequent oxidation. The molten salt functions both as a heat transfer medium and flux. The typical application of dip brazed alloys No.21 and No.22 is for parts where strength is required. The 6951 core is a heat treatable alloy, providing additional strength and offering the opportunity to save weight by down gauging. Many of the dip brazed parts find their way in heat transfer applications for the aerospace industry. Lynch Metals has the largest inventory in the world of these Dip Braze products. The material is stocked in both its Union, NJ and Anaheim, CA facilities in gauges ranging from .020 through .190.
