Regular Duty steel strapping is manufactured from cold-rolled steel under rigid quality control. Precise uniformity in width, gauge and finish ensures trouble-free operation with automatic strapping machines and pneumatic or manual strapping tools. Super Duty strapping is a cost-effective alternative op high-tensile steel strapping, with similar performance characteristics in most applications. Ideal for many palletizing, unitizing, packaging and baling applications in a wide range of industries. Super duty has the break strength of High tensile, but not the shock resistance. High Tensile strapping is manufactured from special analysis cold-rolled steel and is fully heat treated to provide high tensile strength and ductility. The cold-rolled high-tensile strapping ensure uniformity in finish and gauge for trouble-free operation in power tools. High tensile strength affords extra protection and shock resistance under all strapping conditions. FinishesPainted and waxed strapping features a high quality coating to resist corrosion, and is uniformly waxed to ensure ease of operation in strapping tools and machines. It meets requirements of Federal Specifications QQ-S-781, Types I and IV, Class A coated finish and ASTMD3953-91 Type 1, Finish A. This type of strapping is developed especially for automatic machine applications where standard finishes have not provided satisfactory performance. Available in all sizes. Non-metallic strapping is lightweight and safe to use. Because of it's excellent properties, non-metallic strapping can be used n abroad range of applications. It is very economical since it has more footage than a coil of steel and therefore at a lower cost per foot. It is also easier to handle. Modern International offers 3 different non-metallic strapping products: Polypropylene StrappingPolyester StrappingCord StrappingSTRAPPINGPolypropylene StrappingPolypropylene Strapping is manufactured using the latest technological developments. It is produced with the highest standards to obtain consistent quality and a high degree of reliability. High strength, good elongation and excellent recovery are only a few of the characteristics of this strapping. It is an ideal choice for light and medium duty packaging needs. Polypropylene strapping meets all requirements for machine and manual applications. Polyester StrappingPolyester Strapping is tougher than Polypropylene. It more closely resembles steel strapping in its physical characteristics and performance. Polyester has the lowest elongation of all non-metallic strapping materials. It can absorb shock while retaining it's tension around a package. It is split resistant and less notch sensitive than other strapping. Being virtually unaffected by environmental factors, this product is an excellent alternative to steel. Cord StrappingRayon or Polyester cord is another choice in non-metallic strapping. Ideal for hand applications. Polyester cord strapping can be secured with a metal seal, a buckle, or even a knot. Polyester cord has superior strength, whereas rayon provides a more efficient knot. Both types are impervious to extreme changes in temperature and humidity. It is available in standard coils or convenient portable packs.
