The MtRF-4101 is an integrated software defined receiver (SDR) and Direction Finder (DF) processor. Bycombining the receiver and DF processor onto a single PC board, size is reduced and reliability is increased.The combination of a powerful processor and numerous IO ports allow the unit to generate drive signalsfor a variety of DF antenna types and to perform Line-Of-Bearing (LOB) calculations at a very high rate. DSPalgorithms insure that indicated bearings are as accurate as possible even under marginal signal conditions

Wide bandwidth and low noise amplifiersresult in uncovering signals overlookedwith many competitor products. The slotantenna is unique in the fact that it can beflush-mounted while providing 360 degreesof azimuth coverage. The slot antenna hasextremely wide bandwidth, approaching2 decades. The upper frequency limit isreached when the slot diameter approacheswavelength. Above this limit, the patterndevelops secondary lobes. There is nosharp boundary on the lower limit, but thesensitivity drops as the frequency is lowered.In addition to the low drag and small diameter, the slot antenna is very light. With anon-board micro, this smart antennarequires simple interfacing and offersenhanced perfomance.

The MtRF-5000 family areamplified signal splitters withone input and eight outputs.The basic function is to amplifyand split a signal so thatmultiple devices can be fedfrom a single source. Tofacilitate good input to outputreturn loss, the input andoutput impedance is 50 resistive. High reverse isolationinsures little leakage betweenchannels. Input filters reducespurs, harmonics and noisefrom the reference signal.
