New York Air Brakes CCB-26 offers railroads an affordable, reliable upgrade for older 6L, 26NL and 26L air brake systems. Its simplified manifold requires only three pipe connections.

CCB-26 is the most reliable air brake system in the industry, fits into the same space envelope as the 26L and 26LUM brake controls, and the expandable platform can be equipped with interfaces to all remotely-operated locomotive systems.

The DB-60 II control valve detects changes in the brake pipe pressure and rearranges the connections inside the valve to do one of the following:

Release the brakes and recharge compressed air reservoirs on the car
Apply the brakes by allowing air to flow to the brake cylinder
Hold the air pressures in the brake cylinder at the current level
