The Blanket size determined the number of "Plew" sticks needed or what the Blanket was worth in Beaver Pelts. Some were made with or without "Plew" Marks. All these Blankets meet the standards set down by the English Blanket Weavers Guild." Each Blanket is 72 by 90 and weighs 6 lbs, Available in the Early Classic styles and colors. White with a Blue, Red, or Natural dark Brown stripe, Grey with a Natural dark brown, Royal Blue with a Red stripe, Brown with a Blue stripe at each end. These are made with no Point marks. 100% wool

We have some of the most beautiful Quilled belts bags anywhere. These are a 7 by 10 bag that goes on a belt or ties to the belt. Your choice. Also we have a small 5 by 7 inch belt bag and a double pouch belt bag. These can also be done with or without beads and Quills.

This is where it all started. In the late 1600's the French started to make threaded stiches on cloth. This is what the word empointer means. The English starting using the word "Points" for the fur trade in the 1780's. The English using the system for the price of a blanket where the French used it for just sizing. Thus by changing from size to a price system the English "Point blanket was started. The French changed the name to "Plew", and the whole Plew, or Point system started. The French made Blankets with the stripes together. these are some of the most Beautiful patterns in any blanket. We make these to a higher standard than what was originally made. We offer four beautiful designs. Available in a White body with a Red, Blue and Yellow stripes. Red body with a Black, White and Blue stripes. Blue body with a Black, Red and Yellow Stripe. Many of the early trade blankets were solid colors. these wool medium weight 66 by 84 blankets weigh 4 lbs. They make a good blanket shirt, leggings, dress or just as a pack blanket. Available in Ruby Red, Royal Blue, Forest Green, and Grey.

These are repoductions of the Fur Trade Era "Chiefs" blanket design. These highly prized striped blankets were valued not only for their beauty and durabilitiy but the name itself implies a higher value. Having blankets with more colors and stripes added to the cost. These blankets were highly prized. These are some of the more beautiful blankets that are available. Fragments of a similarly designed blankets was found at Massacre Cave, Arizona (circa 1804). This was the start of the English making many different color striped blankets. It is made with Blue and Natural Dark stripes. It comes in White. Blue, Red, or Brown. A beautiful prized camp blanket. This 5' by 7" bag is large enough to be used on the shoulder but also small enough to go on the neck. It has a fold over flap that buttons with a tie. It comes in about most all colors of leather. We also have this with calf hairstill on. One of our best selling bags. Custom Beadwork or Quillwork can be done on this bag. This bag is 6 12" by 7" and has a large front flap that covers the whole bag. it is either Beaded or Quilled. Covering the bottom it is fringed. Made from deer hide. Comes in Gold, Smoke, or Chocolate.
