State-of-the-art equipment includes vertical mills, turning centers, engine lathes, indexers, and manual mills, carrying out precision processes including milling, drilling, boring, tapping, knurling, pocketing, profiling, reaming, facing, external and internal threading, along with turning methods including contour, form, taper, and straight turning. These precision processes can achieve tolerances to ± .0001". Our machinery features CNC control capabilities; 13, 000 rpm spindle speeds, a 3300 lb weight capacity, 4 axes, and three jaw and four jaw chuck fixturing. We also provide in house fixturing and tooling for ensured rapid lead times and cost effective production. Parts are thoroughly inspected for integrity and accuracy using the latest CMM and granite plates inspection methods, as well as surface finish and hardness testing. Our one stop tooling shop has the capabilities to process solid carbide, carbide tipped, and high speed steel materials, employing precision processes including contour, fine grinding, form grinding, high speed grinding, precision grinding, polishing, regrinding, and sharpening. We are experienced in the custom design, manufacturing, and rebuilding of custom tool holders, offering finish coatings and achieving fine finishes down to 4 RMS. NTM's Stubby® Line of Tooling is designed to save you time and money. (Click image to enlarge) Stubby carbide boring bars are manufactured to the highest quality standards. The Patented chisel point ensures a stronger, more reliable brazed head. We guarantee all our brazes. They are shorter in length which dictates to you the Customer savings in cost and in inventory. With over 150 different sizes and styles, NTM, Inc can accommodate all of your insert needs. NTM offers both solid and coolant thru bars with same day or next day shipment on stock items. Stubby drills are manufactured to the same quality as standard indexable drills. They are designed with shorter flute lengths and shanks that fit standard collet and endmill holders. The shorter flute length gives Stubby drills greater rigidity which translates into higher production rates and extended insert life.

Customers in a number of industries can have their parts marked with messages and graphics with the precision laser etching services offered at NTM, Inc. Our solid state (Nd yag) laser operates at a 30 W power rating, suitable for metal, plastic, glass, wood, carbide, and heavy metal materials. Markings can be made up to 24" in length, up to 12" in width, and up to 6" in height. In addition to our laser etching services, NTM is a proud provider of a number of additional high quality services including sawing, grinding, sandblasting, welding, and assembly. As a part of our maintained inventory, NTM, Inc carries smart flow Swiss tools, a Patent Pending tool holder used in Swiss style machines. This indexable tool, features OD turning and coolant thru fabrication for high performance, reduced heat, and improved chip removal. Even when inactive, oil is still being applied to the chips on the tool. Available insert styles include 80° diamond, 55° diamond, and 35° diamond, with possible shank sizes of 12" and 58". Quality and accuracy are ensured with our highly developed protocol of surface finish testing, hardness testing, and an integrated statistical process control and internal QC program including material certifications.
