Industrial Pump #96178

Tailored C991 Gear Pumps

  • Temperature 32°F to 225°F (Nitrile)
  • model C991
ailored specifically for wear resistance and long life in lubricating fluid service. They are designed to handle a wide range of fluids at temperatures to 400F, at pressures up to 150 psi, and at shaft speeds to 1750 RPM. Viscous liquids require reduced shaft speeds.

Standard Lubricating Fluid Service: Shafting is 303 stainless steel, gearing is steel. Rugged ductile iron housings. High grade carbon-graphite bushing style bearings are used. The Standard Mechanical Shaft seal is a stainless cased Nitrile elastomer bellows and O-ring with carbon and ceramic wear faces. An optional fluoroelastomer mechanical seal with carbon and ceramic wear faces is also available. Recommended liquid temperature range is 32F to 225F (Nitrile) or 400F (fluoroelastomer).

As with all external gear rotary pumps which operate based upon close running clearances, the presence of solid particles and abrasives can lead to premature wear and damage. Use suction screens or start-up strainers when necessary.

FEATURES
Ductile Iron Construction
Stainless Steel Shafts
Steel Gears
Nitrile Mechanical Seal (Optional fluoroelastomer or EPDM Mechanical Seal)
Process lubricated carbon bearings
O-ring cover seal for maximum leak protection
Durable paint finish
Easy Field Assembly to a variety of motor frames
Compact dimensions
DRIVE
These close-coupled pumps mount directly to a full range of NEMA and IEC C-face motors by means of a suitable adapter bracket. The clamp style cover also allows adapterless close coupling to modified 48 Frame 13rd and 12 HP motors. The pump drive shaft is connected to the motor shaft by a flexible coupling. Complete pump and motor units are available.

GEAR PUMPS N1000

  • model N1000
Pump housings and gears are made of top quality bronze, shafts are 303 stainless steel. Bearings are made of high performance carbon-graphite material selected for wear resistance and long service life. Gear pumps are positive displacement pumps. Each shaft revolution displaces a definite amount of liquid relatively unaffected by the backpressure in the discharge line. Shaft speed and flow are directly proportional.

FEATURES
Bronze Corrosion Resistant Castings
Special Cast Bronze Gears
Stainless Steel Shafts & Fasteners
Formed Ring Seal Packing (Lip & Mechanical Seals on Special Order)
Heavy Duty Carbon Bearings (Self Lubricating)
Positive Displacement Flow
DRIVE
Either direct drive with flexible coupling or pulley drive can be used. Make sure both flexible coupling halves are properly aligned. When using a pulley, do not overtighten the belt. Also, to absorb belt side thrust at higher pressures and larger size pumps, an external ball bearing support is recommended -- consult factory.

CENTRIFUGAL PUMPS 101M

  • model 101M
These pump housings and mounting brackets are made from cast aluminum or bronze alloy. The rotor is made from stainless steel with a hard chrome plate for improved wear properties. The stator is made from molded Nitrile. The mechanical seal is a carbon and ceramic mechanical rotary face type for positive sealing.

The turning of the helical shaped rotor within the stationary stator creates a progressing cavity similar to a moving piston. Liquid is thus displaced generating a pumping action. Unlike piston pumping, extremely high pressure cannot be created because the stator is made of Nitrile and is flexible. Because of this flexibility contaminated liquids can be handled. High starting torque motors are recommended in order to overcome the high starting friction of the stator. The pump is relatively quiet.

FEATURES
All Bronze or Corrosion Resistant Aluminum Construction
Easily Mounted in Field to Your Own 56 Frame
Motor & 56C For Explosion-Proof Motors
Carbon Face Mechanical Seal
Quiet Running
Can Handle Contaminated Liquids
Nitrile Stator and Stainless Steel Rotor
LIQUIDS & TEMPERATURES
The corrosion resistant alloys used are compatible with common liquids including water, water solutions, oils and many commercial chemicals. Severe solvents are not compatible with the Nitrile and should not be pumped.

ELECTRIC MOTOR MOUNTING

This pump is supplied close coupled to electric motor or as a pump alone complete with attaching parts and instructions for mounting. Any 56 frame electric motor (or 56C frame) with 58 inch shaft diameter, 1725 R.P.M. and of horsepower rating as listed can be used. The motor can be rigid or resilient mounted, sleeve or ball bearings, 50oC rise, capacitor start, counter-clockwise, rotation from shaft end. (For Gas Engine version, see models 111-UGY111B-UGY) (FOR PERFORMANCE AT REDUCED MOTOR SPEEDS, SEE MODEL 121121B)
