An ejector punch blank is made from high speed tool steel and manufactured to a standard shape or customer desired form that is ready for final processing and differentiation of an ejector punch at the discretion of the end user. Having ejector punch blanks in stock allows the end user to manufacture tooling when needed and avoid long lead-times as well as allowing for a quick response to emergencies. These springs use compressed gas to exert force. Housed within a cylinder, nitrogen gas springs meet a wide variety of specifications, with variations on tonnage, stroke lengths, and mounting capabilities. They are used in automobile struts and hatchback doors, office chairs, press tooling, medical and aerospace applications, and other industrial manufacturing. At Precision Punch we offer a full-line of nitrogen gas springs, from standard and fixed height cylinders to auto-return cylinders with height adjustment. The structural components of Special Springs’ gas springs are designed and built to withstand a minimum of 2, 000, 000 complete cycles at maximum pressure, temperature and for all types of fixings.

A die button is hardened steel that provides the opposing cutting edge for a punch during the punching process. During this operation the slug or blank being stamped, passes through the opening of the die button. EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) is a machining method primarily used for hard metals that would be very difficult to machine with traditional techniques. EDM typically works with materials that are electrically conductive. EDM can cut intricate contours or cavities in pre-hardened steel without the need for heat treatment to soften and re-harden them.
