The CNC Swiss machines allow the production of complex parts with large length to diameter ratios. The majority of the machines used in production today are equipped with live tooling and sub-spindles to allow the manufacture of parts in one operation from bar stock material. In addition, we have also developed CNC Swiss capabilities in China. Today we utilize CNC horizontal, vertical, and high-speed drilltap milling centers to meet our customers’ needs. Our horizontal milling capabilities include a 4 machine, 24 pool pallet flexible manufacturing cell to help us reduce setups and maximize spindle on time. These machines allow us to manufacture complex parts with minimal handling. CNC TurningPrince Industries, Inc. has a wide variety of CNC turning centers to complement our CNC Swiss machines. Robotically loaded turning centers allow us to make complex turned parts, even parts that require milling, in one handling! Machines with these capabilities allow us to manufacture our customers’ parts more economically while maintaining the highest quality. Prince has the capability to grind and hone parts to the tightest of tolerances. We use an Engis Bore Finishing System to hold I.D. tolerances in the millionths. We also use Cincinnati No 2 centerless grinders to hold similar tolerances on the O.D. of parts. These machines can be configured for through-feed or in-feed applications.
