Pure Supply maintains a large inventory of sanitary fittings commonly used in food manufacturing processes and similar applications. These fittings are available in two different grades of stainless steel: 304L and 316L. Weld and tri-clamp ends are offered on all fitting types. Typically, weld end fittings are used on permanent installations such as clean-in-place (CIP) systems. Clamp end fittings allow for remove-ability for maintenance purposes.

Adapter Fittings

A ferrule is the most common component in process systems. Also referred to as tri-clamp or s-clamp, the ferrule joins weld end and clamp end components. The tri-clamp end allows for remove-ability. Gaskets and clamps secure the clamp connections in place and prevent leaking. The ferrule is available in 304L SS and 316L SS and meets all FDA and 3A stainless requirements. Clamps are common components in process systems and secure clamp end fittings, valves, instruments in place on the exterior of the system. The tri-clamp end allows for remove-ability. The most common clamp has a single wingnut for tightening. Two-bolt clamps are utilized for high pressure system applications. Clamps are made from 304 stainless steel. A gasket is an essential component in tri-clamp connections, designed for sanitary process providing a liquid and air tight seal. Gaskets are available in different materials ranging from PTFE (Teflon), Buna, EPDM, Viton, Silverback (composite stainless steel and Teflon), and Tefflex (PTFE and EPDM joined). Silverback and Tefflex gaskets are only available upon request. Materials vary in flexibility, temperature rating, permeability, and corrosive resistance. A reducer decreases line diameter and concentrates flow in process systems. Concentric reducers are cone shaped, typically used in vertical runs of tube. The weld end (commonly referred to as buttweld) is joined permanently to the process system.
