We offer a complete product range of Sentry and Rampower Duplex

Sentry

Ramseys popular line of wear protected chains recently expanded to include a unique new conveying chain. Branded the Sentry line, this chain combines the best features of established Allguard FX and two pin conveying chains with features developed for high speed power transmission chain.Features of Sentry ChainGuard links with fully recessed pin heads100% hardened alloy steel construction- no sintered metalTwo pin chain joints1 and 12 pitch designsStaked pin headsPre-stressed for reduced chain elongation Developed Especially for Customers Preferring Two Pin Conveying ChainsFollowing the success of Ramseys established wear protected chains, customers who prefer two pin chain designs challenged Ramseys engineers to come up with a new chain. In response, our engineers developed an all steel, two pin chain design that offers the same wear protection as Lifeguard and Allguard FX. Unique in the industry, Sentry chains blend features which have been successfully used in Ramsey glass conveying chain for decades with totally new features which are only available from Ramsey. No other company offers chains comparable to Sentry! Wear Protection - And Much MoreSentry chains utilize time tested assemblies, two pin joint designs, and wear protected recessed pin heads to produce chains that are strong, durable, and resistant to wear. In addition, the pin heads in the chains are staked using proprietary technology developed by Ramsey. Staked heads are very durable and more compact than heads formed by other methods. And since the pin heads are recessed, they will not wear like pin heads in laser weld style chains. Also, the guard links on Sentry chains are hardened alloy steel. No sintered metal parts are used in the chain. This results in a more robust and impact resistant chain. Lastly, Sentry chains are pre-stressed during manufacturing to fully seat components and to reduce chain stretch. Compatible With Existing SprocketsSentry conveying chains are fully interchangeable with similar existing chains and sprockets. Chains can be made with or without spacers and can operate with center guide or side guide sprockets. Ordering R-select Chain the first timeWhen placing an initial order, we recommend you contact a Ramsey customer service representative who will help you select a chain which best fits your application.

Silent Chain

Ramsey manufactures an extensive range of silent chain and sprockets for use in industrial power transmission and conveying applications. Chain designs are available to accomodate a wide variety of application requirements and budgets. More detailed information on specific products is available by clicking on the product links below. In power transmission applications, silent chain drives are capable of transmitting power with low noise, high efficiency, and reduced vibration. Speeds and loads often exceed the capability of other belts and chains. Almost all Ramsey power transmission chains utilize efficient, quiet, two-pin roller bearing joints; technology which has been shown to outperform conventional, round pin joints.* These chains can be found in a wide variety of demanding industrial applications and similar designs are used in 4 wheel drive automobiles and NASCAR racing engines. In conveying applications, silent conveying chains provide a heat resistant, flat, durable, non-slip, conveying surface which can be customized to fit a wide range of industrial applications. Chains are designed to smoothly engage sprockets with minimal variation in the conveying surface speed. Many options are available, including: patented wear protection, single pin or two pin joint construction, link-spacer or all link constructions, attachment links, and stainless steel assemblies. Silent Chain Sprockets

Stock and Made to OrderRamsey offers a full range of stock and made to order sprockets in pitches ranging from 316 pitch to 2 14 pitch. Stock sprockets are available with minimum plain bores or taper lock bushings. For an additional charge they can be machined with a finished bore and keyway. Made to order sprockets provide an almost unlimited range of options and are a large part of our daily production.Ramsey also supplies sprockets to replace most competitors' products. We welcome all inquiries. MaterialsRPV, RP and SC sprockets are typically made from carbon steel or ductile iron, with sprocket teeth hardened to Rockwell hardness of Rc 50. For RP and SC only, some sprocket sizes are available in class 30 gray iron with unhardened teeth. Other materials are available subject to customer preference, sprocket size, cost, and availability. Performance GuidelinesIn general, larger sprocket diameters will provide for smoother operation, less vibration, and longer life. We recommend using sprockets with at least 21 teeth whenever possible. Also, to assure proper meshing of sprockets and chain we recommend they be purchased from the same source. Guide TypeSimilar to chains, most sprockets fall into one of two categories: center guide or side guide. Center Guide: A groove machined in the center of the sprocket face accepts the chain's center guide link. Two grooves are machined for two center guide. Side Guide The sprocket fits between the chain's side guide plates.Side Guide: The sprocket fits between the chain's side guide plates.
