ALTRA KVS AND KVR HIGH-DENSITY VACUUM-FORMED BOARDSALTRA high-density vacuum-formed board products are available in formulations for service temperatures up to 1800C. ALTRA high-density boards are available for high-temperature, oxidizing environments (KVS) and high-temperature, reducing environments (KVR). ALTRA boards are formed from alumina or mullite polycrystalline fibers with appropriate inorganic and organic binders. All grades are pre-fired to 1000C or greater, resulting in an organic-free composition. Possible applications include furnace hearth plates and low mass sintering setters.

Rath manufactures a complete line of custom stack bonded modules using the highest purity alumino-silicate, alumino-zirconia-silicate, and ALTRA high-alumina fibers for application temperatures between 2000F and 3000F. Rath's interactive engineering approach allows us to work closely with the customer to select the appropriate materials, densities, thickness, and anchors for the application. Our field service engineers can provide heat flow analysis, installation supervision, or a turnkey retrofit of an existing furnace.
