The 160-03, 6-channel recorder contains three major components integrated in one case: 24-bit resolution low power ADC with CPU and Lid interconnect boardsPower sourceThree component 2 Hz sensors (two horizontals and one vertical) and a triaxial MEMS accelerometerThe self-contained rechargeable battery pack provides power autonomy up to 7 days during continuous data acquisition at 200 sps on three recording channels. For longer power autonomy, the 160-03 Aftershock System battery pack can be charged from an external source (solar power system). To download recorded data the customer simply removes the USB stick and connects to any PC. For station operation verification, the customer is able to display real-time data acquired by the 160-03 using the iFSC Controller connected to the system via wireless (Wi-Fi) communication. Aftershock study provides practical information for local authorities regarding the post earthquake activity, which is very important in order to conduct the necessary actions for public safety. The 160-03 meets the critical requirements for rapid aftershock mobilization.

High Perfomance Broadband Seismometer - REF TEK 151B-120

The 151B series Broadband Seismometer, Observer, is a force-balance feedback sensor available with frequency bandwidth 0.0083 Hz (120 sec) 50 Hz. The 151B Observer contains three independent sensors (one vertical and two horizontal) with built-in electronic feedback circuit, control and power conversion circuits, featuring low noise, large dynamic range and easy installation and use. The 151B Observer has built-in leveling and mass lockunlock facilities. The leveling mechanism includes two bubble levels, three adjustable feet and three locknuts which are located on the seismometers chassis. The 151B Observer has a built-in mass zero-position adjusting mechanism to perform automatic mass adjustment. As soon as the seismometer is powered it checks the zero position of each components mass and automatically adjusts the zero position if needed. The 151B Observer is a low noise seismometer (see Power Spectral Density plot below). The low self noise performance makes the 151B-120 an ideal seismometer for local, regional, and global seismicity studies in different installation configurations, including observatory and portable, surface and posthole applications.

Multi-Channel Seismic Recording System - REF TEK 130-MC

Complete with REF TEKs Third Generation digital recording technology, the 130-MC is a robust Multi-Channel Recorder designed around todays modern needs for civil engineering and structural monitoring. Built-in communication capabilities allow for Real-Time and On-Demand data collection. The Multi-Channel Recorder is available in a twelve channel or eighteen channel recording scheme with advanced Telemetry built-in for Real-Time Data collection for every channel. Accommodating the large scale needs of todays market, the 130-MCs, with fully featured network capabilities, can be installed in and around the structure, whether it be a campus, a single building, a bridge or a dam. The seismic based recording system has a powerful CPU to handle the recording of multiple data streams simultaneously, recording locally to removable compact flash memory cards and transmitting data remotely to a users PC (in Real-Time or On-Demand). All locally recorded data, along with the written system State-Of-Health files, is accessible to the user for copy andor deletion from a local or remote PC protected from outside tampering with verified user login and password. The recorder is built with three AD boards, each containing six independent channels for recording. Each AD board has its own built-in pre-event memory to avoid diminished size as more channels are added to the system. For convenience, the input levels on the AD are matched to the REF TEK Model 147A family of accelerometers.

High Resolution Seismic Recorder - REF TEK 130S-01

The new and improved 130S-01 has many of the same great features that the 130-01 recorder provided, but now includes more capabilities. The 130S-01 has lower power consumption, higher dynamic range, wider input voltage as well as wider input full scale, and houses a new AD board. The new improvements to the 130S-01 are helpful in the field, as operators can enable the remote mass lockunlock electronically on sensors that have this provision as opposed to manual operation. The 130S-01 Broadband Seismic Recorder digitizes and stores analog input from a variety of external sensors, including seismometers, accelerometers, tiltmeters and other geophysical sensors. The 130S-01 is designed to be easier to use more compact, lighter in weight, lower power, and requires less maintenance than other recorders. Not only is the hardware optimized for field deployments, software tools have been specially developed to support both field and base station operation. The 130S-01 has six inputoutput connectors: two Channel input connectors, a Terminal connector for setup and control, a Net connector combining Ethernet and Serial PPP for network access, an external power connector and a GPS receiver connector. An LCD display allows the user to monitor the status of various sub systems within the 130S-01 without a terminal device attached. The 130S-01s case is a lightweight, waterproof, clamshell design. A removable lid is used for accessing the mass storage media and one or two Compact Flash II devices that are used for storing large amounts of data in the field. Also available is the Microdrive high capacity, high performance removable storage ranging up to 16GB on a Compact Flash II (CF-II) or 32GB on two installed drives. Setup, control, and status monitoring is accomplished with either an iPod touch or iPhone using our WiFi Serial Adaptor with the Field Setup Controller (iFSC) software or from a PCworkstation using our REF TEK Command Control (RTCC) interface without a terminal device attached. The 130S-01 is low-power and operates from 12 volt power sources, making it ideal for portable deployment in a variety of environments where AC power is not available. Accessories include the REF TEK 130-GPS, compact flash drives, iPod touch, 130-ENVIROCASE, REF TEK 147A series accelerometers and REF TEK 151B seismometers.
