Reliable Plating Corp. provides decorative chrome plating (chromium plating) in satin and bright finishes. Chrome plating is a durable, non-tarnishing, conductive, hard, decorative or functional finish. Applied to meet RoHS regulations.

Decorative chrome plating is usually applied over Nickel and the surface preparation can provide an appearance range from dull to satin to bright. Combinations of Chrome and Nickel will provide significant corrosion resistance.

Duplex application of Nickel under Chrome is often applied for exterior use. Chrome plating will comply with RoHS - Eurpoean Union requirements in most applications. Abrasion resistance and hardness are characteristics specific to Chrome plating and contribute to its usefulness as a protective decorative finish.

We provide Copper plating for heat treat and stop-off applications, as well as Bright Acid copper plating for decorative and functional applications.

We provide heavy deposition, large volume rack finishing.
Copper Plating can be used as an undercoat for nickel or other metals. Copper Plating can be used to level and brighten polished die castings. Copper Plating is also used to prevent base metal migration into tin and as a stop-off coating for selective carburizing of steel.

Reliable Plating Corp. provides Silver plating ranges from matte to semi-bright, giving superior conductivity for high grade electrical applications. Silver Plating is used for its lubricity on bearing surfaces and provides superior solderability. Silver contact resistance is very low and is used as a coating to minimize arching in electrical connections and switches.

Silver Plating is susceptible to tarnish, but can be easily cleaned or polished to a mirror finish, if required. Post treatments can retard the tendency to tarnish. Silver Plating also offers excellent reflectivity and has been used for mirrors and lighting applications.

Our 24K gold plating processes produce a hard, abrasion and wear resistant, mirror bright finish. These Gold Plating processes can be used for both decorative gold plating and electronic gold plating applications where a hard deposit is required.

Reliable Plating Corp. provides Bright Nickel Plating, Semi-bright Nickel Plating or Satin Nickel Plating, and Sulfamate Nickel Plating for functional and decorative applications. Nickel Plating is an excellent barrier coating to minimize metal migration.

Nickel Plating can be applied to provide "duplex" etended corrosion resistance, and is used as the decorative, corrosion resistant layer under decorative chrome or black chrome.

Nickel Plating is RoHS, ELV, and WEEE compliant. Sulfamate Nickel Plating is used where improved ductility and solderability are required. Reliable Plating Corp. also can apply a Nickel strike which allows plating of Stainless Steel. Nickel Plating can also be applied as Electroless Nickel Plating.

Electroless Nickel Plating is a nickel phos alloy deposit plated by chemical reduction, without applying an external electrical current, onto a suitable substrate. Electroless Nickel Plating provides very uniform, hard, lubricious coatings. The deposit uniformity allows plating of various coating thicknesses on any section of a part exposed to fresh plating solution. Grooves, slots, blind holes, threads, and even the inside of tubing can have the same thickness of coating. As a direct result of the deposit uniformity many post-plate finishing steps such as grinding, can be eliminated, thus lowering overall costs.

By varying the percentage of phosphorus in the coating, deposits can be produced that exhibit a variety of properties.

High phosphorus deposits (> 10% by weight) - yield deposits that are non-magnetic and highly corrosion resistant.

Reliable Plating Corp. provides bright tin plating or dull (matte) tin plating used in electronic applications for solderability and conductivity. It is also used for food related items. Reliable's matte tin plating is alloyed with Bismuth, minimizing development of "Tin Pest" and "Tin Whiskers" which are a concern in pure tin deposits.
Bright Tin plating, in addition to its attractive appearance, offers an increase in corrosion and tarnish resistance. Tin plating is RoHS, ELV and WEEE compliant.
