Black Chrome (chromium) Plating is a decorative and durable black finish that can appear bright to dull depending upon surface preparation. Black Chrome Plating is a durable, conductive, corrosion resistant, ultra-violet light resistant finish, A post oil treatment is usually applied.

Reliable Plating Corp. provides Bright Nickel Plating, Semi-bright Nickel Plating or satin Nickel Plating, and Sulfamate Nickel Plating for functional and decorative applications. Nickel Plating is an excellent barrier coating to minimize metal migration. Nickel Plating can be applied to provide "duplex" etended corrosion resistance, and is used as the decorative, corrosion resistant layer under decorative chrome or black chrome. Nickel Plating is RoHS, ELV, and WEEE compliant. Sulfamate nickel is used where improved ductility and solderability are required. Reliable Plating Corp. also can apply a Nickel strike which allows plating of Stainless Steel. Nickel Plating can also be applied as elecroless nickel plating.

Chloride Nickel Plating, or Wood's Nickel is a pure nickel plate, often referred to as Wood's Nickel Plating. It is used as a thin strike plate to provide good adhesion to Stainless Steel or to apply additional plating to a Nickel base. This plate allows subsequent plating of Stainless Steel with a wide variety of metal coatings.

lectroless Nickel is a nickel phos alloy deposit plated by chemical reduction, without applying an external electrical current, onto a suitable substrate. Electroless Nickel provides very uniform, hard, lubricious coatings. The deposit uniformity allows plating of various coating thicknesses on any section of a part exposed to fresh plating solution. Grooves, slots, blind holes, threads, and even the inside of tubing can have the same thickness of coating. As a direct result of the deposit uniformity many post-plate finishing steps such as grinding, can be eliminated, thus lowering overall costs. By varying the percentage of phosphorus in the coating, deposits can be produced that exhibit a variety of properties. High phosphorus deposits (> 10% by weight) - yield deposits that are non-magnetic and highly corrosion resistant.

eflon Electroless Nickel Plating is a Nickel Phosphorous alloy with encapsulated particles of PTFE (Teflon) The result is a very precise, dry-lubricated, low-friction surface that is extremely hard and wear resistant. Because the PTFE is evenly distributed and locked into the nickel matrix, it is a true, stable composite. If wear occurs, fresh particles of PTFE are exposed to keep the surface lubricated throughout the life of the coating. Electroless Nickel Plating can replace chrome in some applications and eliminate size variation problems. While not all Electroless Nickel Plating is RoHS Compliant, Reliable uses only RoHS Compliant Electroless Nickel.

The unique tin zinc alloy plating process provides a 7030 TinZinc ratio and offers an environmentally friendly and RoHS compliant alternative when applied or specified with a clear trivalent Chromate.
