FLANGED BREAKAWAY CONNECTIONS

Breakaway connections are required in order to allow the ductwork connecting to a fire rated damper sleeve to "breakaway" from the damper sleeve thus leaving the damper within the fire rated opening maintaining the integrity of the wall or floor. The connection point of a damper sleeve and ductwork requires a UL approved breakaway connection. There are a number of field constructed approved breakaway connections listed on our standard installation instructions. EFAMS

Ruskin's EFAMS electronic fan-inlet air measurement station utilizes thermal dispersion technology combined with low-pressure drop aerodynamic sensors to measure the airflow at the highest velocity point in the system. This lower pressure drop equates to lower cost of operation over the life of the building when compared to other fan inlet devices. The Ruskin EFAMS features and benefits:Can be retrofitted into existing systems where space does not exist for traditional air measurement devices. Includes a minimum of two sensors, a router and transmitter box with LCD display showing both temperature and air flow velocity or volume in either FPM, CFM or Meters per second or Liters per second. Easily field configured for any size fan. The transmitter box provides two isolate 4-20 mA analog linear signal outputs representing measured air flow and temperature and shares the same platform as our EAMP, electronic air measurement probes.Ruskin's unique patented design provides lower pressure drop and accurate measurement of fan inlet air flow and inlet temperature.We are currently shipping the EFAMS with firmware version 8.6. With this release, calibration of the EFAMS air measurement station is accomplished on the installed fan using actual air flows. Our unique design does not rely on measurement of 100% of the air entering the fan, only measurement of an air flow that we know will track the actual air flow through the fan. The benefit is a more accurate air flow measurement (taking into account system effects) without adding a significant energy penalty, typical of most aftermarket fan inlet air measurement devices.The EFAMS is a great product! EVT-019 Energy Recovery Ventilators

EnERVent+ models EVT-010 and EVT-019 energy recovery ventilators are designed for outdoor rooftop installations with a downflow or horizontal configuration. The rotating enthalpy wheel provides preconditioned outside air back into the system reducing energy costs. These models offer double wall construction and the option of auxiliary heating and cooling capabilities. Model EVT-010 is used in applications requiring a 600 - 1000 CFM range or use the EVT-019 for applications requiring an 800 - 1900 CFM range.

Electronic Air Measuring Station

Ruskin model EAMP is a perfect solution for retrofit applications or for installation after the HVAC system has been installed. This product utilizes thermal dispersion technology to accurately measure both temperature and flow. The specified duct or plenum size determines the quantity of probes and the sensor density. Each sensing point is factory calibrated to provide reliable field measurement under the most demanding conditions. Each probe set is shipped with a control transmitter that has an LCD display, indicating flow and temperature at the device. There are separate 0-20mA outputs for temperature and flow. Ruskin offers the only Electronic Air Measuring Station (EAMS) solution that is licensed to bear the AMCA Certified Ratings seal for Airflow Measurement Station Air Performance. The EAMS line utilizes the same electronic thermal mass flow sensors that are predominant in the automotive industry, providing tried and proven technology for the most demanding conditions. Electronic flow sensing is a cost effective way to accurately measure duct flow down to 50 feet per minute.
