Recently, a client from the food industry contracted Signal Machine Company for their wire edm services. This piece would be used on an automated assembly line to guide material. We combined our advanced machining, welding, wire EDM, and assembly services to construct the part to fulfill precise client specifications, meeting precision tolerance as low as (+-) .010 of an inch. The fixture was used to control the part's alignment during the welding and final wire EDM processing of the finished shape. Constructed from SS304 steel, the part measured approximately 1x4x.5 inches.After the advanced machining was complete, we delivered the part to our client's facility in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Using a combination of our advanced precision machining services, Signal Machine was able to successfully build a material guide arm assembly for the food industry.

A consumer products industry client from Lancaster, Pennsylvania recently contracted Signal Machine Company to manufacture six punching die sets that would be used for stamping small metal plates. Using our advanced CNC turning, CNC milling, and wire EDM capabilities, we constructed the set from M2 tool steel, with the ability to meet tolerances as low as (+-) .0002 of an inch.Meeting client specifications, the parts measured approximately 4x4x3 inches. We additionally heat-treated all components. Exceeding our client's high expectations for quality, the finished units were then shipped to our customer's facility in Pennsylvania. Using our advanced CNC turning and grinding operations, Signal Machine Company performed the final machining of a fairly large cast iron casting ring supplied by the customer. Meeting a precision (+-) .01 of an inch precision tolerance, we machined the part to measure approximately 20x3x5 inches in dimension. Successfully machining the casting ring to meet client specifications, we now manufacture 100 units per year for the food processing equipment industry, delivering all finished units to our client's facility in Philadelphia.

Signal Machine Company was requested by a food processing automation client to manufacture an air filter assembly for use in food processing plants. Due to the fact that this part was to be employed in a food processing application, we had to manufacture this assembly to the same standards as other food processing instruments.Using our advanced machining processes, which included CNC milling, CNC turning, welding, drilling, and tapping, we manufactured this air filter assembly from SS316 steel to measure approximately 3 inches in diameter and 10 inches in length. Maintaining a (+-) .01 of an inch precision tolerance, we were able to produce this assembly to meet both food processing standards and customer specifications. We now build 100 units annually for this client, delivering all finished air filter assemblies to our buyer's facility in Philadelphia.
