The EcoReel Recycling Program gives you measurable savings in disposal costs and investment recovery. All you need to do is call 888ECO-REEL and arrange for a pickup of your empty wood reels or polyfiber reels and spools.

Since 1991, Sonoco has been working with utility companies, contractors and distributors to collect old wire and cable reels and spools to be refurbished. The EcoReel Program is the most comprehensive, cost-effective nailed wood and polyfiber reel recycling program in the industry. And its the only nationwide provider of reel recycling services.

Now we pick up used reels from all kinds of companies and industries. We inspect, repair and refurbish them and then return them to circulation for reuse. Flexibility in program design is a key success factor, so we collaborate with you to ensure success. And if you need details on the number of trees or amount of landfill space you are saving, we can provide a thorough environmental analysis to use for sustainability reports.

Single-serve stick pouches are designed to let consumers prepare drinks on the go, without a mess. But, all too often, theyre inadequately scored, so they dont tear and open properly. Our SonoScore technology allows Sonoco to control, with pinpoint accuracy, both the placement and depth of the score on both lap and fin seal applications, without compromising the barrier.

Industry leading corrugated steel reels, with a reusable design for heavy-duty wire and cable applications. Flanges with diameters ranging from 30 to 160 (762 mm to 4064 mm). We no longer offer the service of returning and refurbishing steel reels.

Polyfiber Reels
A broad product line of reels that enables our customers to avoid costly custom reels.
Our innovative polyfiber composite reels provide smooth inside flanges and improved weather resistance. The flanges are made of a recycled plastic composite, returnable and recyclable, with diameter sizes of 30 (762 mm), 32 (813 mm), 35 (889 mm), 42 (1069 mm), 45 (1143 mm) and 50 (1270 mm).

Nailed Wood Reels
Sonocos nailed wood reels have been an industry standard for more than 50 years. Flanges are returnable and refurbishable, with diameters ranging from 14 to 116 (356 mm to 2, 946 mm).

Our plastic reel lines, including our patented Reel Tough reels, deliver durability at a low price.

Our wide array of plastic reels includes the Reel Tough reel, with its special, patented flange design and a life span exceeding similar-process reels; and our EconoReel reels and spools, engineered to be durable while delivering strong performance for a lower cost.
Utility Spool, Plywood-Replacement Spools and our patented EconoReel Spools

Sonocos utility, plywood-replacement and EconoReel spools are lightweight, durable and recyclable and are an inexpensive package solution for insulated wire, cordage and other filaments. Utility spools sizes range from 6.5 to 16 (165 mm to 406 mm). Sonocos in-process reel sizes range from a 16 flange diameter to a 30 flange diameter.

Sonoco manufactures injection-molded plastic components with high optical properties, used in advanced medical applications. These devices, processed from more than 20 different thermoplastics, are used for brain surgery and biopsy. Using high-temperature, chemical-resistant and biodegradable plastics, Sonoco can offer you a complete package from molding, printing and ultrasonic welding to assembly and packaging.

Accu-Salt Salt Dispenser
Nothing makes your french fries or other fried products taste better than the proper amount of salt. Up to this point, there was no way to control the exact amount of salt dispensed during food prep. Now, you can have total control with the Accu-Salt salt dispenser.

The Accu-Salt dispenser will only let you apply the right amount of salt the first time - and every time. All you have to do is turn the shaker over the fries or fried product and it will dispense the same amount of salt each use, making for a tasty and consistently-seasoned product.
