Many Strainsert Instrumented Load Pin designs are incorporated into sheave and pulley systems. The user has the option of either designing a sheave around our standard CPA Clevis Pin series or having a custom pin manufactured for an existing sheave design with a tailored measurement capacity and geometry, allowing for simple installation and optimized measurement capacity. The Instrumented Sheave Pins are often used to measure line tension by monitoring reaction load on the pin. Using the equations provided below, the line tension can be determined.Strainsert factory calibrations are intended to simulate installed conditions, however, it is recommended that an in-place calibration be performed to account for any installation, tolerance, andor alignment influences affecting sensor measurement.

The Strainsert deep seahigh pressure Clevis Pin provides the ability to measure force at clevis joints under high-pressure conditions. Complete systems are available, and include the Instrumented Clevis Pin, cabling, and a digital display indicator.

Dual bridge gaging provides two independent strain gage circuits. This option is advantageous for controlling multiple feedback systems as well as providing redundant force-measuring capability.

Strainsert offers a custom Load Pin configurator to allow engineersdesigners to input nominal design parameters to determine application feasibility and generate conceptual load pin designsdrawings quickly and effectively. All finalized designsdrawings will be completed and formalized by Strainsert.
