RELIC WRAP PTFE Packaging

Protective Tape & Film for Archival Packaging and Storage RELIC WRAP protective PTFE tape & film is the safe way to package, archive, store and transport fine art, books and artifacts. Made in the USA, RELIC WRAP is available in three forms to allow for complete flexibility in your packaging needs. PTFE is an optimal material to provide the protective layer nearest to valuable art. It is inert, soft, flexible, temperature resistant to 550F (288C), acid-free and will not stick to the objects it is protecting. PTFE is also a thermal insulator. RELIC WRAP is completely unaffected by ultraviolet (UV) radiation, incandescent or fluorescent light exposure. It will not rot or support fungus for mildew.RELIC WRAP Packaging Film Ideal for filling voids around artifacts that are non-uniform in size, RELIC WRAP is also used as a protective layer that can be wrapped around any form of art, providing a nonstick, colorfast, conforming inner layer before additional packaging layers are applied. RELIC WRAP Film is available in rolls up to 10 wide, 0.003 thick, and 1, 000 feet in length. Technetics recommends that our PTFE tapes are stored and maintained in a controlled environment and the shelf life shall not exceed five (5) years. A controlled environment shall be clean and temperature at or below 72F (22C) with relative humidity not to exceed 50%. In addition, all material must be stored in its original condition and shipping containers. Should this become a concern, please contact us to discuss your specific requirements.

AMILON Custom PTFE Compounding

  • Color White
  • AMILON™ AMILON™3
  • Alternative to RULON®641
  • Ideal for / because FDA compliant for food processing
  • Products Piston Rings, Stamped & Formed Seals, Machined Parts
Custom PTFE solutions to meet critical needs With a focus on customer responsiveness and short lead times, our AMILON family of custom PTFE products can incorporate a wide range of fillers including glass, graphite, molybdenum disulfide or bronze, and are easily identified by their distinct colors, including the FDA-approved, white AMILON 3. Our applications engineers are available to help you identify the materials that best meets your specific application needs. AMILON PTFE products are useful when high-performance characteristics for thermal conductivity, coefficient of friction, compressive strength, wear rate, creep or cold flow are required. They can withstand temperature extremes from -400F (-240C) to 500F (260C) and offer excellent abrasion and corrosion resistance. We offer a wide range of standard formulations, but sometimes an off the shelf polymer just wont do. In those cases, our applications engineers will work with you to develop a custom compound to meet your critical application needs. Custom compounds can be developed for specific performance characteristics in the areas of thermal conductivity, coefficient of friction, compressive strength, wear rate, creep and cold flow. Available Sizes Molded sheets up to 48 x 48 up to 8 thickSkived sheets up to 62 wide 0.001 to 0.375 thickRod and Cylinders up to 60 O.D.

Etched Fluoropolymer Products

High Performance Bonding for Critical Applications Our etched fluoropolymer products give you the bondable surfaces you need for enhanced performance and durability. With over 45 years experience, we are a leader in sodium ammonia fluoropolymer etching, ensuring you receive the long lasting, durable, uniform surface modification you require. When compared to sodium naptolene processes, our sodium ammonia etching have been proven to be the preferred solution with its superior performance and design to give you the bondable surfaces you need on any fluoropolymer quickly and efficiently. Etched products are available with one or more treated surfaces including selective spot etching on continuous roll films, flat sheet or the compound contours of three-dimensional parts. Our equipment can accommodate most commonly used formats, including: Film rolls up to 50 wideNarrow tapes and thin-walled tubingIrregularly shaped items as large as 5 cubic ft in volume, up to 48 x 96 x 34Experienced with all fluoropolymers Whatever type of virgin or filled fluoropolymer you are using, (PTFE, PFA, FEP, ETFE, PCTFE, PVDF, ECTFE, etc) our innovative etching techniques deliver the precise surface treatment required for an excellent bond every time. Treatment can be accomplished on one or more surfaces, or selectively within close tolerances on films, sheets, tubing or other three-dimensional shapes. Our compounds react with only the surface layer of fluoropolymers ensuring dimension and other properties remain largely unaffected.

TEXOLON PTFE Sheets

High Performance, Unsurpassed Cleanliness and Endless Versatility TEXOLON PTFE products deliver uncompromising performance and unsurpassed precision for critical applications. Developed and compounded at our in-house facilities, TEXOLON PTFE products are manufactured under strict quality control standards to ensure exceptional uniformity and consistency in every product. Wide variety of custom fillers available Glass fiberCarbonGraphiteMolybdenum disulphideBronzeVarious pigmentsOur manufacturing processes: Auto Compression and Isostatic molding Auto compression molding, also referred to as auto molding, can create a wide variety of shapes and geometries to close tolerances using part ejection, pressure application and automatic cavity fill techniques. This process is not only more cost-effective, but also eliminates stress cracks and related defects compared to traditional machining. Isostatic molding applies pressure to all sides of the molded part (whereas compression molding applies pressure in only one direction) to create highly consistent material properties and bring a part very close to its final shape. Isostatic molding is ideal for forming unusual shapes, such as cups, buckets, tapered sleeves and closed-end cylinders. Your trusted industry partner No matter the process or material configuration you choose, Technetics PTFE & Polymer Solutions is committed to being a reliable, responsive partner, providing unmatched material and application expertise, and delivering products with exceptional purity, cleanliness and quality.
