The proven design of the RZN is the basis for RZI valves, which can be installed in large-diameter or high-pressure pipelines and are equipped with a multirate, adjustable, interval-damping system for particularly critical applications. The RZI provides adjustment for each damping rate and also timing-of-rate increase during check valve closure.This means, the RZI can be tuned to precisely match the closing characteristics required by a pump installation to avert excessive pressure surge.

The FCV is a robust valve with low inertia moving parts to withstand very fast closure with complete reliability. The inclined tilting disc design ensures inherent gravity closure, stable operation, low pressure loss, and fast response. This check valve has continually evolved through many years experience with large steam turbines and compressors. On loss of load, steam turbines risk rapid acceleration due to the stored energy in the feed heating system. Steam flow reversal can occur in less than 0.2 seconds. Compressors have a similar problem when emergency shut down may lead to rapid flow reversal. These occasions cause very high impact forces on check valve closure thus necessitating the special design features of ADAMS FCV valves.

Extremely reliable check valves are needed to protect steam and gas turbines from reverse flows. With their reliable, non-jamming closures, our SCV valves are optimally designed to fulfil this important protective function. SCV check valves efficiently protect steam and gas turbines from backflows coming from steam extraction pipes. This is guaranteed by a free-swinging model that closes automatically by means of its own weight. This enables it to swing closed against a double bearing friction moment without the assistance of a drive system. This makes extremely short closure times of under 0.5 seconds possible.A hydraulic or pneumatic drive can be added as a closure aid by means of a two-part stem construction.

Compact external dimensions, short face-to-face dimensions at all pressure ratings, and low weight make the OSK an economical valve for pipelines transporting liquids or gases. The streamlined, duo-eccentrically mounted disc, together with the conical sealing system, ensure a smooth-flow passage. The continuous seal provides tight shut-off and low friction and wear characteristics. The shaft runs in self-lubricated bearings housed outside the flow stream and sealed against the media by O-rings or graphite rings. Rubber-lined carbon steel valves and anti-corrosion materials guarantee low maintenance, versatility, and long service life.

The WAK is a low cost design suitable for many duties. The streamlined disc moves smoothly without flutter. When the valve is closed the disc is pressed tightly against the seat which is incorporated into the body. Opening and closing are free of friction and jamming. The sealing system is completely integrated within the body utilizing the conventional ADAMS laminated metalgraphite sealing. The WAK is a general purpose valve for many applications involving fresh water, seawater, sewage, hydrocarbon and wet gas.

The MAK, utilizing ADAMS exclusive patented inclined cone sealing system, has proven its longevity under extreme working conditions and thousands of cycles. It offers a very economical solution as a maintenance-free design for metal-to-metal zero leakage capability. Metal sealing, robust construction, and proven engineered material combinations make the MAK suitable for a wide range of temperatures and duties.

The RZN has an excellent record of reliability in critical applications where other check valves have failed.
