The Thermal Zero Universal Flat Internally Wastegated Turbo Blanket fits a very large variety of turbochargers. To get an idea of size it was originally designed to fit on Aftermarket Subaru turbochargers that are near the TD05TD06 sizing. We acutally make two different lengths of this blanket (short: part number TZ1155 and long: part number TZ1195).

This blanket is a three layer design consisting of a heavy 6 pound density 12 thick ceramic wool inner layer construction that easily handles 2500F. This is sandwiched between a heavy duty pulverized lava rock fiber outer layer and a protective stainless steel knitted wire mesh inner layer. The entire blanket is extremely durable and very well built by hand here in the USA.

Our Lava line of blankets are different from our other turbo blankets in that they feature an outer jacketing that is made from an extremely heavy duty and high quality pulverized lava rock fiber instead of silica impregnated fiber. This lava material is actually different than what any other turbo blanket manufacturer uses in that it features an aluminum bonded layer on the inside of the blanket to further reflect the small amount of radiant heat which makes it through the ceramic layer. With this combination of materials we have seen up to 90% efficiency out of a Lava blanket on certain applications.

Generally speaking if you own a turbo subaru and still have the OEM turbocharger then this blanket will fit. If you upgraded the turbo to a larger exhaust housing yet still retain the internal wastegate design then you need the long version. Easy enough right? We have been selling this pattern blanket for years and have yet to hear a bad remark about it. It fits a whole lot of turbos very well and does one simple job very well also. That is holding heat in away from surrounding lines and components and allowing the turbo to spool noticeably faster thus making power.

This turbo blanket set includes blankets to cover both the left and right turbochargers on a Porsche 996. Both blankets are designed to perfectly fit each turbo housing and are marked appropriately. The installation of these blankets is very easy and straight forward. Each blanket maneuvers around brackets and between the factory oil drain system, they fit the contour of the turbocharger perfectly. The contour design of the blanket helps to reduce bulkiness of the blanket while effectively holding as much heat into the turbo to help is spool noticeable quicker and reduce overall under hood heat.

Each blanket is built with our heavy duty pulverized lava rock outer jacketing material along with our high 6 pound density ceramic wool material (capable of withstanding 2500F direct heat) on the inside of the blanket.

This blanket set has been test fit and designed to fit both the K16 and K24 turbochargers.

Arctic Cat 1100CC Turbo Manifold Blanket LAVA
The Thermal Zero Arctic Cat 1100CC LAVA Turbo Manifold Blanket was designed specifically for the OEM turbo manifold on the Arctic Cat snowmobile.

The blanket utilizes a 2500F direct heat resistant 6 pound density ceramic layer on the inside of the blanket to make sure no heat gets through. On top of that the Lava version of the blanket uses our signature aluminized lava jacketing layer on the outside of the blanket further adding to the durability of the blanket and the functionality. The alumnized layer reflects any potential radiant heat that could get through the ceramic layer back into the blanket making the lava blanket one of the most superior blankets on the market.

Installing a Thermal Zero Lava blanket will cut down up to 90% of direct heat emitted from your turbocharger. In turn this will allow the turbo to spool faster and be more efficient.

The Thermal Zero GT25 GT28 Turbo blanket was deigned specifically for none other than the internally wastegated GT25 and GT28 turbochargers. This blanket fits on a large array of both aftermarket and OEM turbos.

The inner layer of the turbo blanket can handle over 2500 degrees Fahrenheit of direct heat. The blankets are made with high quality 1 inch thick 6 pound density ceramic insulation material.

Due to the durability and extremely high heat rating (3000F) of the Lava material; this blanket is ideal for applications where there is top mount turbo manifold or or heat sources which could come in contact with the outside of the blanket.

Since vibration on a turbocharger is inevitable we have created a more durable design. Our turbo blankets feature a knitted wire mesh inner layer that separates the insulation material from the turbocharger housing, greatly increasing durability and reducing breakdown.
