Heavy Wall Titanium Clad Equipment

TiFab manufactures heavy wall titanium clad equipment for high pressure and high temperature applications. Applications include Autoclaves for pressure acid leaching of metal ores, and Titanium-clad-steel Reactors, Crystallizers, Columns, and Heat Exchangers for the ChemicalPetrochemical and Oil & Gas industries. Thickness can go up to a 5” thick wall on vessels and over a 10” diameter on heat exchanger tubesheets.

Reactor Fabrication

TiFab fabricates reactors out of a variety of alloys and has the ability to build the following reactors fit your companies specifications: Titanium Reactors Titanium Clad Steel Reactors Zirconium Reactors Non Jacketed Reactors Zirconium Clad Steel Reactors Hastelloy Reactors (C276, C2000, B2, B3, etc.) Inconel Reactors (Alloy 600, 625, 825, etc.) We fabricate plain reactors (non-jacketed) as well as dimple-jacketed reactors and half-pipe coil reactors. TiFab builds reactors to meet ASME Section VIII Div 1 and 2, JIS, Stoomwezen, TUV, and the Chinese ML (formerly Chinese SQL). Most of our reactors are used in basic and specialty chemicals plants worldwide for prevention of corrosion in the presence of acids or chlorides. All mechanical engineering design is carried out in-house with several design softwares available (PV-Elite, CodeCalc, Compress, etc.)

Titanium Upflow Tubes

TiFab manufactures titanium upflow tubes, cones, reducers, piping, and diffusers for bleach plants, as well as pressure vessels for production of sodium hypochlorite and sodium chlorate. Titanium Upflow Tube Installed at Bleach Plant Materials of construction: Titanium Titanium lined Titanium has become the material of choice to eliminate corrosion problems in bleach plants throughout North America. Solid titanium upflow and downflow tubes provide high reliability for chlorine dioxide bleaching stages compared to conventional acid brick lined steel or fiberglass. Titanium completely eliminates acid brick and grout failures and maintenance, and titanium eliminates fiberglass separation failures - providing great savings on your yearly maintenance budget. Titanium also extends the range of operating temperatures compared to either acid brick or fiberglass that may be needed for ECF or TCF conversions driven by the Cluster Rule. Our cone fabrication at the top of the bleach tower is a proprietary 3-flange design which connects the cone in 120 or 180 degree sections. Most cone fabrications go from the 7 to 9 ft inlet to a 18 to 22 ft outlet (same ID as the bleach tower).

Titanium Condensers

One of the largest applications for titanium worldwide is in titanium coolers and condensers using saltwater as a tubeside medium. Titanium Fabrication Corp. has been manufacturing solid titanium and titanium clad steel condensers and coolers for refineries, offshore platforms, petrochemical plants, and chemical plants since the early 1970s. Sizes range from 8” to 96” diameter, with lengths up to 60 ft. TiFab uses the latest thermal design technologies and licenses available in order to make the exchanger as cost effective as possible. This includes titanium finned tubes to increase effective surface area, rod-baffles to eliminate vibration concerns, etc. TiFab fabricates complete exchangers and can also repair existing exchangers by re-tubing bundles and repairing damaged tubesheets. TiFab performs all thermal and mechanical design in-house with multiple design software licenses (HTRI, B-Jac, PV-Elite, CodeCalc). These reboilers have been used in the production of Acetic Acid, Chlorine, and Methacrylic Acid (MAA) among others – to remove water or catalysts from the process or to condense steam. Reboilers are typically used to provide heat to the bottom of industrial distillation columns. TiFab has manufactured: Kettle Reboilers Recirculating and Once-through Reboilers Horizontal Stab-in Reboilers Sizes capabilities range from 8” to 96” diameter, with lengths up to 60 ft. Titanium Pipe

Tifab provides the industries finest quality titanium pipe and titanium fittings for clients across a variety of industries. Whether you are looking for seamless titanium pipe or welded pipe, Tifab can provide you with the material you need for the job. TiFab manufactures titanium pipe spools 6” and below from both seamless (ASTM B-861) and welded (ASTM B-862) pipe, typically in schedules 10s, 40s, and 80s. TiFab manufactures sizes 8” and by rolling and welding annealed titanium plate (ASTM B-265) with 100% x-ray (RT) and penetrant testing (PT). Final hydtrostatic test is performed when individual titanium pipe spool is complete.
