Tell the true story of Easter with our heirloom quality Easter Story Eggs. (see product description below) This set includes twelve pastel wooden eggs nested in a specially woven traditional egg basket. Each of the eggs contains a piece of the story of Christ’s resurrection, from Gethsemane to the empty tomb, along with a tangible symbol that will bring the story to life. Each Easter symbol tucked inside these wooden eggs is a high quality item, including hand carved olive wood cups and crosses from the Holy Land, strips of linen, and handmade olive oil and beeswax soap. “Thirty pieces of silver” is represented by antique Israeli argorot coins (the word argorot means “piece of silver” in Hebrew.) Every symbol was carefully chosen and the scriptures that accompany them were given just as much thought. We scoured the King James Version of the Bible to find scriptures that not only tell the story, but the reasons and doctrines behind it. For example, instead of just stating that Christ was bound in the garden of Gethsemane, the scripture points out that Christ allowed himself to be taken to be crucified when he could have called down legions of angels to save him. With quality items and poignant scriptures, our Easter Story Eggs are pure heirloom magic, a tradition to anchor you and your family to the true story of Easter year after year.
Each of these “Poinsettia” Christmas Ornaments includes a card that tells its holiday story. According to this Christmas story, a small girl with no gift to give the Baby Jesus was visited by an angel who told her that any gift she gave from her heart would make Jesus happy. She picked some weeds and took them to the church, where they changed into a beautiful bouquet of crimson poinsettias. This story teaches us that any gift that is given with a pure heart can be magnified and transformed through our Savior’s love. Hang this poinsettia ornament on your Christmas tree in honor of this legend and message. Legend ornaments with story cards make thoughtful gifts for friends and neighbors.

These simple, functional lamps are true to the style of authentic Herodian oil lamps from Jerusalem at the time of Christ. Matthew 25:1 “Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.” An authentic, oil lamp-lit dinner in ancient Jerusalem fashion is a beautiful, sensory way to celebrate Easter or Christmas with your family. Our family’s Christmas Eve “Jerusalem Dinner” is perhaps our longest standing tradition. You can read all about that at our blog here. We’ve recently begun adapting a passover meal as well at Easter time and these oil lamps have added tremendously to the ambience of the meal. Our Herodian oil lamps are authentic to the style used during the time of Christ. They are made in Israel from clay. The interior of the lamp is glazed to prevent oil absorption. They are designed to burn olive oil, as they would have back then. Each lamp comes with a length of wick that can be adjusted to vary the flame’s brightness. Whether you use them to create memorable meals with your family, to be alternative light sources with a ready fuel supply, or simply to display in your home as a symbol of the parable of the ten virgins, these oil lamps will be a great addition to your family’s traditions.

A tapestry that is being used to cover a hole in a church wall at Christmas becomes the instrument for a miracle. This is a story about how God works in our lives. Seemingly meaningless and oftentimes disappointing and frustrating events or “coincidences” can lead to God’s miracles enacted in our everyday lives that we become so thankful to witness and be a part of. When a wall in his father’s church begins to leak and puts the Christmas Eve service in jeopardy, Jonathan comes up with a plan to cover it up with a festive cloth from a thrift shop, yet when a Jewish woman visits the church and sees the cloth on the wall, the true miracle of the day is revealed.
