Pharmaceutical (PPC) Vacuum Conveyors

These high quality, cGMP vacuum conveyors are used primarily by the pharmaceutical and colorlacquer industries. The PPC series features a one-piece, gap-free design for their separator elements that is completely electrical conductive. This design eliminates spaces where product might remain, and optimizes frequent product changes with easy, absolute cleaning of the process machinery to avoid product contamination and meet the highest quality standards. Units are easily dismantled without tools, can be cleaned quickly and can be sterilized – see how. PPC Conveyors are fitted with a large butterfly valve at the discharge. Bulk Bag Unloading Stations

Our modular Bulk Bag Unloading Station (BBU) is optimized for dust-free operation when used with Volkmann Vacuum Conveyors. It can be used for a variety of materials and can be customized to make poor flowing materials come out of the bulk bag and convey them into process areas without any contamination of product or surrounding areas – providing a true contained dust-free bag connection. Bag Dump Stations

Post Hoists

Volkmann stationary and mobile hoists simplify the handling and positioning of vacuum conveyors above machines or bins being fed with material. With Volkmann hoists, the vacuum conveyor can be brought into position, connected dust-free, powder tight, and without the weight of the conveyor resting on the vessel beneath, enhancing process stability in critical operations such as tablet presses or filling machines. Mounted on a mobile hoist, one vacuum conveyor can be used flexibly to feed material into various machines, one after the other. A hoist also offers convenient access to the conveyor, easily moving it down from the machine for cleaning and maintenance. Volkmann hoists as feature no-tools assembly and dis-assembly and feature a design that avoids the tendency of similar unist to lose height overnight.

They work gravimetrically with the vacuum conveyor mounted on a special frame, isolated from external forces and loads. The filling weight is constantly measured throughout the suction cycle. The amount of material to be conveyed is specified via touch screen input. Conweigh systems are able to set up recipes for different materials to be picked up from a number of sending stations. Its controls switch the valves to activate the correct transportation line automatically.
