It's high travel speed, flotation, and traction deliver superb mobility. Efficient power management and advanced Eco-mode optimize fuel efficiency and lower sound levels. Eco-mode Eco-mode utilizes an engine speed of 1650 rpm and reduces fuel burn by up to 5% over Cat E-series pavers while also lowering sound levels even more. Cat C7.1 Engine The C7.1 engine provides 168 kW (225 hp) and meets U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final and EU Stage IV emmision standards. Automatic Engine Speed Control When automatic engine speed control is activated, the engine speed is reduced to an idle speed of 1000 rpm when the propel lever is moved to neutral or to 1300 rpm when screed heat is active. Advanced Eco-mode Eco-mode and automatic engine speed control when activated together modify the engine rpm based on load factors. When activated the engine will operate at 1650 rpm when paving. If the upper power threshold is exceeded, the engine speed will increase to 2200 rpm and remain there until the demand drops below the threshold and remains there for 30 seconds, ensuring reliable performance. Quick Starter Exclusive 70 kW integrated generator delivers fast heating screed plates, quiet or quick heating options, and simple monitoring. The system is designed to save time and fuel while providing reliability for the life of the paver. Advanced diagnostics keep the screed heating, even in the event of a sensor failure. High productivity and low cost of ownership is yours with the MD6240 Rotary Drill. With bit load force of 24 000 kg (52, 911 lb) and the capability to drill depths up to 55.47 m (182 ft) the MD6240 is well equipped to drill in hard or soft rock applications. Built to be reliable, safe and easy to service for years to come. The mast is made of heavy-duty ASTM A500 Grade B steel tubing on all four chords and cross members, which creates a torsionally strong mast structure and reduces the material fatigue. All mast structures are designed with double-cut lacing in high stress areas to prevent cracking and assure long life. The mast can be raised or lowered with full pipe rack and full drill string on the rotary head, in less than 40 seconds. Heavy-Duty Frame The A-frame is an integral extension of the mainframe, providing a strong, low maintenance design. The mainframe design assures structural integrity. The main rails, made of ASTM A500, Grade B, rectangular steel tubing, are heavily cross-braced and reinforced in high stress areas. Three point oscillating suspension allows the drill to negotiate rugged, uneven terrain without transferring excessive torsional forces to the mainframe, and allows continued stability while tramming between holes. Tram speed is 2.0 kmh (1.25 mph). Gradeability is 48% with the mast down. Ground clearance: 610 mm (24 in) Bearing ground pressure: 0.83 bar (12 psi)

The new Cat 6015B Hydraulic Shovel meets your need to move more material at a lower cost, so you can achieve production targets, deliver on your commitments, meet deadlines – and maximize your profitability. Load more, make more. Proprietary Cat integrated engine control technologies keep the engine running at or near the rated speed to maintain an optimized balance of power and fuel efficiency. This technology prevents large drops in engine speed, followed by over speeds, often observed in older equipment. It provides the following benefits: Estimates fuel requirements, based on engine speed and torque, and needed machine torque, based on hydraulic load (pumps and fan). This technology ensures faster and more consistent engine regulation by preventing lug, which, in turn, reduces fuel consumption. Reduces hydraulic pump output to prevent engine lug, based on available engine torque, desired engine speed, actual engine speed, and estimated hydraulic load. This technology provides power to the machine functions that need it to move material quickly and efficiently.
The M Series 2 continues the legacy of quality already established by Cat Motor Graders. The extensive validation program, combined with improvements to the manufacturing process, allows Caterpillar to further enhance our quality. The end result of this development process is a motor grader line with breakthrough technologies, tested in the field and built around real applications and real customer needs. M Series 2 Motor Graders meet Tier 4 InterimStage IIIB equivalent emission standards. The Cat NOx Reduction System captures and cools a small quantity of exhaust gas, then routes it into the combustion chamber where it drives down combustion temperatures and reduces NOx emissions. Cat Regeneration System The Cat Regeneration System is designed to work transparently, without any interaction needed from the operator. Under most operating conditions, engine exhaust is hot enough to oxidize soot through passive regeneration. If supplemental regeneration is needed, the Cat Regeneration System elevates exhaust gas temperatures to remove soot in the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). This is a process that happens automatically, but the operator can initiate the cycle when convenient or interrupt regeneration as needed. A soot level monitor can be viewed on the Cat Messenger screen and regeneration indicator lights are integrated into the front console. Aftertreatment Technologies To meet Tier 4 InterimStage IIIB equivalent emission standards and beyond, Cat aftertreatment components have been designed to match application needs. System components include a Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC), which uses a chemical process to convert regulated emissions in the exhaust system, and a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) that traps particulate matter that is carried into the exhaust stream. The DOC, DPF and Cat Regeneration System are contained in a Caterpillar designed Clean Emission Module (CEM) that protects the components, minimizes the aftertreatment footprint and simplifies maintenance.
The Cat 586C Site Prep Tractor is a multi-purpose, heavy-duty tool carrier with the muscle to power mulchers and brushcutters. You can tackle a variety of land clearing and maintenance projects with one machine, lowering your operation costs. Caterpillar offers the Cat HM825 Mulcher and the Cat BR624 Brushcutter for the 586C. The cooling system is arranged in two panels for easy access to all components. The air conditioning condenser is in a hinged panel that tilts out for easy cleaning and to access the primary panel with the side-by-side mounted primary hydraulic oil cooler, dedicated case drain hydraulic oil cooler, engine radiator and air-to-air aftercooler (ATAAC). In machines equipped with Tier 4 Interim engines, a fuel cooler is integrated into the same panel as the condenser. On-demand Reversing Fan The oversized, hydraulically driven fan spins at a slower speed overall and only turns as fast as needed to maintain proper hydraulic and engine temperatures. In colder weather or when the machine is first started, for example, the fan spins more slowly to conserve power and fuel and reduce noise. Air is pulled in from the side – not from the engine or from under the hood – preventing debris build-up around the engine. It automatically reverses every five minutes of run time to keep the cooling system free of debris. A manual override allows the operator to activate reversal between scheduled cycles. A heavy-duty fan shroud provides protection when servicing. The high capacity cooling system and on-demand reversing fan keep the machine running at the proper operating temperature, optimizing performance, durability and fuel efficiency.
