The Zentech gas trains contain the equipment necessary to perform internal fired post weld heat treatment. The gas train can be run automatically or manually, and the temperature controller ensures the proper temperature is maintained throughout the heat cycle by regulating the flow of gas to the burner. The high limit controller assures that the maximum allowable temperature will not be surpassed. The built in safety features check for correct fuel pressure, monitor the flame in the burner and shut down the fuel supply in the event of flame loss. Safeguards contingency features are managed through alarms and flame safety equipment built in the gas train.

Future Design Controls FM Approved L41 is a 14 DIN control designed to provide limit protection in process applications where FM approvals are required. The L41 is the right choice for safety protection.

Zentechs FCP's consist of a multi-strand 8020 nickel chrome resistance wire encased with 98.2% alumina. These Alumina beads have excellent high-temperature dielectric properties. The beads are designed to interlock to eliminate wire exposure. The FCP's are designed for safe, low voltage operation. The flexibility of the heating elements enables them to wrap around the curved surfaces of pipes and pressure vessels. FCP built with nine inches long nickel cold tail. Nickel wired fused each end of the resistance wire with 60 amp camlock connectors. Cold tail enables safe connectivity during the heating operation. FCP's are typically secured with stainless steel banding, in some instances this is not practical, the alternative is to secure the FCP's with stud nails. The stud nails are attached to the surface of the metal via capacitance discharge method. The capacitance discharge attachment procedure involves using a stud welder to attach a 12 gauge stud nail to the work piece.

To measure the surface temperature of a metallic workpiece, get the most reliably accurate temperature measurement by turning the workpiece surface into a thermocouple junction with the use of a Thermocouple Attachment Unit (TAU). The TAU is a major improvement over other methods for attaching thermocouples to both ferrous and non-ferrous metals and attaches thermocouples directly to the workpiece. It also handles high temperatures, up to the 2300F required for stress relieving carbon and low alloy steels. The TAU is portable and very rugged. The unit attaches thermocouples quickly so that heat treating can be done promptly to get you back online quickly.

The CD 70 Stud Welder is designed specifically for the insulation contractor. In fact, it is one of the most powerful capacitor discharge units available today. The CD 70 features a separate cup head weld pin contact mode that welds to materials as thin as 20 gauge - without fear of burn through. A unique feature is the 84, 000 to 168, 000 MFD variable capacitance highlow power range switch which handles the toughest applications. The high power range helps eliminate surface preparation when welding "Power Tip" pins. The unit's solid state circuitry lowers maintenance costs, since moving parts are eliminated. And the rugged steel chassis makes the CD 70 able to withstand the rigors of construction jobsites. Gauges and control knobs are protected by a recessed control panel. Circuit breaker protection prevents expensive repair to component parts, such as printed circuit boards. The auto fault shut-off adds to operator safety, and the panel meter displays capacitor discharge voltage at a glance. An ultra-light 24 ounce precision Contact Gun is included with the CD 70 system. With this Gun, operator fatigue is reduced --- thereby increasing production. The weld gun also features interchangeable main spring pressure that is necessary for many special welding applications, and critical in welding aluminum fasteners and dissimilar material. The blower provides air to mix with incoming gas to alter the temperature of the flame from the burner for proper control of the heat cycle. The blower is connected to the gas train, which in turn controls the flow of air provided for the burner.

A triple cable is consist of two 100 foot long 2 AWG flexible lead and type K 20 AWG PVC sheathed shielded thermocouple extension lead. The cables built with 300 male and female comlocks. Thermocouple extension lead also have standard male and female connectors which saves tome during the set-up in the field.

Splitter cables built with five foot long 6 AWG flexible leads. This cable allows multi heaters in parallel connection in the same zone circuit. Typically three heaters to be connected in parallel circuit.

20 AWG type K (Chromel Alumel) thermocouples nickel based and exhibit good corrosion resistance. It is the most common sensor calibration type providing the widest operating temperature range. Due to its reliability and accuracy the Type K thermocouple is used extensively at temperatures up to 2300F the thermocouples braded with high temperature fiberglass and has color coding. Each conductor is covered with a color coded, high temperature fiberglass braid. This braid is then impregnated to enhance abrasion resistance and reduce fraying. The insulated conductors are laid parallel and covered with another braid of high temperature fiberglass and impregnation.

Camlock electrical power connectors achieve an insulated locking connection with an approximate 12-turn for high-amperage circuits. Connector sets are available in panel mount and in-line styles.

The standard line of connectors is light weight, rugged and accurate and feature a clamping mechanism that is unique in the industry. This easy-to-use clamping connection will replace traditional screw and wire wrap. This device allows a straight-in application, which squeezes the wire and forms a tight connection assuring a clean, strong signal, to eliminate measuring errors, all Standard connectors are made exclusively of matching metal alloys. If the connector material has different thermal electromagnetic field (EMF) characteristics from the thermocouple or lead wire, a uniform temperature must be maintained across the connector, which is not always easily achievable or practical.

There are three physical methods of hardness testing recognized in the field: the static UCI (Ultrasonic Contact Impedance) method, the dynamic rebound hardness testing method, and the optical TIV (Through-Indenter-Viewing) method. The decision to utilize a specific method depends on the test problem. The MIC 10 enables quick and convenient on-site hardness testing according to the UCI method (Ultrasonic Contact Impedance standardized according to ASTM A956 and DIN 50156). The diamond indent in the materials surface is electronically measured and instantly displayed without using the cumbersome optical evaluation normally associated with conventional hardness testers. By pressing a key, you can display your reading as a single value or as the active arithmetical average value of a hardness measurement set. Editing of erroneous single values, without having to interrupt the measurement set, is just as simple. Adjustable alarm thresholds show you critical measurement values both visually and with audiable alarms. The calibration parameters for measurements on low and non-alloyed steel are preprogrammed into the MIC10; however, the instrument can be easily and quickly recalibrated to other materials. Instrument operation can be customized for specific testing requirements: unnecessary functions can be inhibited, e.g. various hardness scales or the recalibration capability. This reduces key presses and simplifies operation.
