Multiple Pocket Type Shaker Dust Collector

Designed for various air volume applications and solid particles filtration, the MAXIVIBE shaker dust collector is ideal for small to medium size shops and industries, training facilities or vocational schools. The narrow footprint of the MAXIVIBE unit means that it may be installed inside or outside of the facility without losing valuable floor space. The (95 99% @ 5-10 microns) efficiency filter pocket envelope allows clean air to be recycled back into the premises for maximum energy savings. Usage may vary from wood transforming industries, ferrous or non-ferrous manufacturing shops, plastics and composites fabrication as well as pharmaceutical plants and food industries. The manual or motorized cleaning systems dislodge particles from the filter and are then stored in a variety of bins, drawers or drums. Safety features such as explosion releif vents, back draft dampers or spark detection and extinguishing systems for explosive or combustible dust are available.

Small to medium size woodshops, arts and craft classes, composite shops are only a few of the applications that require some kind of high efficiency dust collector. The MAXIVIBE motorized shaker is a great solution to capture, transport and filter the airborne polluants.

Capacities vary from 700 CFM to over 18, 000 CFM. Available fans can sustain up to 15 of static pressure which is sometime required for high velocity with chips or pellets.

The high efficiency multiple pocket filter envelope is cleaned automatically by a powerful 1 HP motor when the unit is shut down. The ULCSA approved control panel is factory mounted on the unit.

Dust storage systems are available in bin vent configuration, low profile dust storage drawers, high capacity drums and raised structure for containers. Reactive material collection may require explosion venting doors, abort or blow back dampers or spark detection systems.

Dust and particles are carried from source capture drops into the main duct connected to the MAXIVIBE unit. Larger particles fall by gravity into the hopper toward the dust storage drum or canister. Finer particles are vacuumed upward into the high efficiency multi pocket filter envelope. The sound insulated fan mounted on top of the unit recycles clean air into the premises if desired or permitted. When the unit is shut down, the electronic control panel activates the cleaning cycle by shaking the filter envelope creating upper oscillation instead of usual bottom filter shaking which may result in lesser efficient cleaning. Filter inspection may be carried by simply opening the access door when unit is shut down.

Manual Shaker Dust Collector

Based on the MAXIVIBE design, the MAXIPLY manual shaker dust collector is more economical since it does not need an enclosed cabinet and the cleaning system is performed by manually shaking the filter envelope. The (95 to 99% @ 5-10 microns) efficiency filter pocket envelope allows clean air to be recycled back into the premises for maximum energy savings. Primarily developed for interior installation in small shops and vocational schools, its use is perfect for medium to large size pollutants such as sawdust, grinding, buffing or sanding of different metals, powders and composites. Air volume capacity can vary from 500 CFM to 5000 CFM. The satin interior coated filter helps to minimize dust caking on filter surface. The angled hopper ensures constant sliding of pollutants into the dust storage drum. The support structure can be easily dismantled for relocation into another part of the facility using the unit or for a new installation in a room with limited size doorways.

The budget minded MAXIPLY manual dust collector is built to be installed inside and designed for small to medium size woodshops, arts and craft classes, composite shops, etc. Having the same high efficiency as the MAXIVIBE because it has the same filter, it needs limited footprint and can be relocated to another location since the filter frame can be dismantled and rebuilt in only a few hours. The cleaning action is performed by the shaker handle allowing the dust to fall free from the glazed filter surface into the hopper and drum. The four open sides of the filter cabinet recycle clean air evenly, also saving money by not needing added expenses for a return air duct. Air volume varies from 1700 CFM to 5000 CFM. Maximum as per NFPA 664 (Article 8.2.2.6.1).

Bag House Dust Collector

Construction

The bag house dust collector housing and the hopper are built from 10 and 12 ga sheet steel with reenforcements capable of withstanding 20 in. H2O pressure differential. The 14 tube sheet is reenforced and continnously welded in place to protect the bags from the high velocity dust. A removable walkway is installed on all models to 64A. The walkway is fixed on larger models. The hopper is designed with a 60 angle to facilitate the flow of dust and is finished with a flange. A solid square tube structure with bracings form a solid support structure.

Sequencer

Pulse cleaning is achieved by an electronic sequencer, with timer adjustment capabilities of the pulse frequency and duration. This control can be used with a photohelic type control, the pulse sequence will begin only when the high pressure limit setting is reached, and will stop when the low pressure limit is attained.

Cleaning

The air to cloth ratio is the most critical variable that can influence the cost of a dust collector, and its efficiency. The higher the AC ratio, the less expensive the dust collector will be. MAXITUBE dust collectors equipped with MPH3 high volume nozzles insure that a strong air bubble will travel evenly within each bag from top to bottom throughout the pulsed row. This great benefit makes MAXITUBE a better collector.

Filtration fabrics

High filtration efficiencies are reached by the meticulous choice of the filter fabrics, and the air to cloth ratio (see filter fabric table). MAXITUBE offers a selection of the filtration fabrics the most apt at filtering specific dusts. The following table describes these products.

This type of dust collector is usually medium to large in sizes and can handle tremendous air volumes and dust loads. The MAXITUBE is composed of tubes or also called socks which vary in diameters and lengths. Efficiency needs to be in the upper scale since air usually pumped back into the facility for energy savings. Baghouse collectors are generally installed outside because of their size and weight.

Filters are cleaned by compressed air and a control panel regulates the cleaning action and cycles. Safety features such as explosion venting doors, abort or blow back dampers or spark detection systems could be required with potentially explosive or flammable dusts. Typical applications are woodshops, foundries, pharmaceutical and food industries, chemical plants, etc.
