The 18 hole drill-tap index highlighted here was designed to function as both a portable index that can fit in a tool boxtool bag, and also as a bench-top index that stands up presenting drill bits and taps in an organized manner that is easy to see and access. It was fabricated from 20 gage cold rolled steel, and finished with an attractive and durable burgundy powder coat.

The tool case highlighted here was designed to hold a proprietary right angle tool allowing the user to punch holes in light gage sheet metal in confined spaces. In addition to the tool itself, the case holds 7 punching dies and several miscellaneous accessories. This complex case had to meet precise dimensional requirements and exhibit extreme durability in order to withstand the rigors of the construction industry. It is made with 20 gage cold rolled steel. Material was sheared to a sheet size that would minimize waste while maximizing sheet yield of component parts. Flat blanks of Individual components were punched out on one of our turret presses. The blanks are then formed on one of our brake presses using precision ground tooling. CNC back gages assure dimensional accuracy of all forms. The case and interior components were then spot welded together. Parts were then degreased and bathed in an iron phosphate solution in preparation for the application of a powder coated finish BMP #178 blue.

This tool case was designed to hold a custom crimping tool, various crimping dies, and other pertinent accessories in an organized and secure manner. It was designed by our customer. As a new vender for this product, we worked from our customers 2D CAD files and a sample case to develop the proper blank sizes to form the precision component parts from. Fabrication would require the use of 14 and 16 gage cold rolled steel, and a variety of metal forming techniques. Component part layout was computer generated to minimize waste when the sheet steel was sheared. The blanks were then formed on our press brakes, and joined by spot welding and MIG welding. The completed case measured 30.062 in length, 6.12 in width, and 6.00 in height, and was finished with our #56 red powder coat.
