ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) plastic is ideal for when excellent rigidity, hardness and heat resistance are required. This thermoplastic is produced in varying grades for a wide range of features and applications. ABS plastic can be processed by any of the standard thermoplastic processing methods and is easily machined. Tough and Rigid ABS plastic is known for its toughness, rigid thermoplasticity and strength. ABS is easily machined and ideal for turning, drilling, milling, sawing, die-cutting and shearing. ABS can be cut with standard at-home power tools, and line bent with standard heat strips.

Acetal (Polyoxymethylene or POM) provided by Interstate Plastics is a tough, machinable thermoplastic with a high modulus of elasticity, high strength, good rigidity, dimensional stability, and resistances to moisture, chemicals and solvents. It has desirable toughness properties, performing well at extreme temperatures and under fatigue endurance. A low coefficient of friction (COF) alongside excellent wear properties, especially in wet or moist environments, makes acetal one of the most widely used engineering thermoplastics on the market today.

Machine grade Polycarbonate engineering rod features extremely high impact strength, outstanding dimensional stability, and the lowest internal stress and inclusion levels when compared to any other products in its class. The lower internal stress and reduced inclusion levels of this polycarbonate will save you time and money by reducing your fabrication process. Machine grade Polycarbonate is an excellent material for prototyping parts before injection molding.
