These bearings are ideal for low load, average speed gravity conveyors. They have a maximum speed of 1500 rpm depending on size and loading. They can be used over a temperature range of -50C to +100C. They are available for many sizes of tubing and pipe, with round or hex bores. They are compatible with a wide range of chemicals.

Design engineers increasingly have been specifying POBCO metal mounted self-aligning bearings to assist them in solving light to medium duty power transmission problems on a wide variety of machinery and equipment. The self-lubrication of the self-aligning spherical bearings housed in strong, stamped steel housings gives extended life. The wide variety of flange mounts and pillow blocks offers great flexibility in machine design.

POBCO self-aligning spherical bearings are available for any bearing housing having a special inside diameter. They are used for new installations or as replacements for other spherical bearings, icluding bronze, plastic, carbon, wood or ball bearings. Dimensional details or a sample of the original bearing being replaced should be furnished. Special designs, such as spheres with shoulders or reliefs, can be furnished for your housings. POBCO spherical bearings offer the added option of being available in two piece contruction (TP).

These low cost, thin wall, slit flange bearings provide good wear resistance and smooth maintenance free operation. These bearings are suitable for both rotational and linear movements. Operating temperature ranges from -40 degrees F to 176 degrees F maximum long term. Thin wall construction prevents excessive heat build up that could cause bearing failure. Thermal and moisture expansion is non-damaging because of the slit design. Typical industries include appliance and office maching manufacturing, automotive manufacturing, marine manufacturing and any metal on metal or shaft support application where space is minimal.

n general, bearing support stations on screw conveyors must be classified as severe service. The materials handled are often corrosive and abrasive and sometimes moisture laden. Conditions are encountered that can disintegrate conventional bearings in extremely short time while also scoring and pitting the journals.

POBCO-B AllwoodMount bearings are custom made from our POBCO-B lubricant-impregnated hardwood. AllwoodMount bearings provide all the advantages inherent in our other lines of wood bearings. The bearings give excellent service, even when subjected to the presence of acids and alkalis or grit and dirt. They work well under wet conditions.

POBCO Self Sealing (Blind Bore) Spring Loaded Ball Bearing, These bearings are ideal for the food processing industry. They are sealed to avoid moisture and bacteria build up in the tube. Benefits include: ease of fit, ease of cleaning, lower friction, corrosion resistant, eliminates need for stainless steel axles, no need for lubrication and maintenance free.

Molded Bearings to these listed dimensions are available also in PTFE-Filled-Delrin (DT) and in Lubricant-Filled-Nylon (MD). To order in these materials, remove the prefix D in the part number(s) and replace with DT or MD.

Nylon bearings are designed to perform well in chemical environments, including Acid and Caustic operating conditions. They are
inexpensive and are normally supplied as grey molded blind-bore or thru-bore to press fit into pipe or tubing. Blindbore bearings can be converted to thru-bore by punching out the blind-bore end. Nylon materials are also available in other sizes and shapes such as sleeve bearings and blocks.

POBCO Bearing and Roller Accessories

POBCO Hex Shaft adapters slide over the hex shaft to allow the inside diameter of the roller to rotate freely on the outside diameter of the adapter. POBCO spring-loaded rollers with hex shafts use these adapters. SS adapters have a 18" FT dimension.

Nylon-MD (Nylatron-GS) is a molybdenum disulfide filled nylon for advanced lubrication. Nylon-MD is hard, strong and withstands temperature up to 220F (104.4C) as well as providing excellent chemical resistance.

ID allows for clearance on the shaft, OD allows for oversize to properly press fit.
