Cnc And Lathe Machinery #4942356

PWL-12-16 Standard Welding Lathe With CNC Control Panel

  • Weight 230 lbs.
  • Weld Current Capacity 300 amps
  • Distance Between Centers 24"
  • Maximum Diameter Part 12.0"
  • Lathe Bed 1.5" diameter hardened rods
Specifically designed for welding a wide range of circumferential parts or components for use in both plasma and TIG welding applications. The CNC control panel with color touch screen allows the operator to program the welding lathe movements with precision. The programmable axes are: X, Z, and the torch angle around the Y axis. All axes are servo motor driven with for precise positioning capabilities. The X axis is 600mm long.During the weld sequence, a screen displays the current position of the axes. When the weld sequence is complete, the system returns the axes to the load unload position and the system is ready for another part.In the automatic routine, this programmed list of positions is sequenced: First the axes are moved to position. Then the weld controller is started and the weld is made. When the weld is complete (gas post purge finished), the next position is moved to and another weld started. When the automatic routine encounters a position of zero (0) in any of the programmed axes, this indicates that the last weld has been completed and the system returns to the loadunload position.Programming features allow the positions for 20 different parts to be stored and recalled by means of the SELECT PART button. A screen is provided where the weld locations for the automatic weld sequence are programmed. Each list of positions will include X axis and Z axis positions in mm, and angle position in degrees. Positions are set or modified by touching the screen on the number to adjust. Pressing the TEST MOVE button will cause the axes to move to the programmed position. This can be helpful to verify the numbers entered. Pressing the TEST WELD AND MOVE button will cause the axes to move to programmed position, followed by initiating the weld schedule currently loaded. This can be used to perform single welds or repair welds as needed

Torch Stand TIG Welding Lathe

The Process Welding Systems' special lathe is used for welding components that are used for radiation detection in oil production equipment. The compact lathe design is for use in a glove dry box. The welding equipment used is a Miller Maxstar 200LX with a Weldcraft WP-50 small TIG torch with 50 amps maximum current. Head is only 58" in diameter. The SCS-102 solid state motor speed control provides speeds from 0.5 rpm to 25 rpm. The control has a forward and reverse function and automatic and manual modes. TIG Welding Lathe With 5C Collet Closer On The Headstock & Tailstock

The welding lathe system includes a Process Welding Systems' SCS-102 Solid State Speed Control and a DT-100 Weld Controller. The lathe has 22" between centers. Standard 6" 3 jaw chucks or 5C collets can be used with the headstock and tailstock. The 5C headstock collet closer is activated by an openclose foot switch and the tailstock open and close is activated by a hand switch. The head stock and tailstock has separate regulators with gauges and speed controls. Welding equipment is a Miller Maxstar 200LX with the PWS DT-100 Weld Controller. The TIG torch uses an electro gauge to accurately set the tungsten stand off distance before welding. Motions and actions are controlled by a PLC. The system included all wiring, hoses, cables, regulators and manuals with setup and training.

Water-Cooled Headstock Lathe

The lathe tooling was designed and built to weld a valve assembly that has an electric motor inside. Also the valve had glass feeds that could possibly crack during welding. The motor could not reach a temperature above 350 degrees Fahrenheit during welding. A PLC was used to sequence the clamping, lathe rotation, find home position and reverse the rotation back to home after welding. The system included an operator pendant for shield gas purge, lathe rotation forwardreverse, sequence stop, weldno weld, home, dual palm buttons, torch tower and tailstock switches. The welding was done with a Maxstar 200LX and PWS DT-100 weld controller. All electronics are hardened against HF noise.
