CONDUCTION THERMOSTATS

GENERAL INFORMATIONConduction type thermostats are a type of thermostat that sense temperature through thermal conduction, meaning they are mounted on a surface that will output heat and they will react. We offer three classes of conduction type thermostats; adjustable, fixed & sealed, and fixed wout sealing. These devices are used widely within industrial applications that require thermal control in electrical appliances, food service equipment, industrial drum heaters, laminators, etc. These devices permit electrical continuity below the set temperature and prohibit continuity when the set temperature is reached.

BULB THERMOSTATS

GENERAL INFORMATIONBulb & Capillary thermostats provide system designers the freedom to place system controls in remote locations away from the heat source while still mechanically sensing thermal levels. This class of thermostat relies on a special sealed blend of thermal material within the bulb & capillary assembly to sense heat. Thermal energy "heat" causes the material to expand which opens and closes electrical contacts.

OPEN AIR THERMOSTATS

GENERAL INFORMATIONOpen Air Thermostats are classified as our A-5011 series units and they are as versitile as our B200 closed body conduction type thermostats. The only difference between the conduction type and the open air type is the way they sense thermal energy. Open air thermostats sense temperature through convection rather than conduction. Snap Disc Thermostats are classified as our A-5000 series; spanning from 5001 through 5008. Each part number in the series represents a different thermal shut off temperature. The A-5000 units feature a bimetallic, temperature-sensitive disc that snaps openclose switch contacts disruptingre-estabishing continunity.
