Insulfrax S Blanket

Alkaline Earth Silicate (AES)- low bio-persistence fibers. Temperature Grade: 2300F (1260C).

Insulfrax S Blanket was developed from a calcium, magnesium, silicate chemistry to provide thermal insulation at continuous operating temperatures up to 2012F (1100C). It meets European regulatory requirement (Directive 9769EC). Insulfrax S fiber chemistry has been combined with Unifraxs proprietary fiber spinning technology to create a specialty high-temperature blanket with superior thermal and mechanical properties.

Insulfrax S Blanket is a flexible, strong, lightweight, needled blanket produced from Insulfrax Fiber. Mechanical needling of the spun Insulfrax fibers eliminates the need for binders in the products manufacture and results in a product with high tensile strength. Since Insulfrax S Blanket is completely inorganic, the product exhibits no smoke generation or outgassing in service. Insulfrax S Blanket combines low thermal conductivity with excellent resistance to thermal shock. Note that high humidity and wetting with water prior to service has little effect on Insulfrax S Blanket.

A series of green dots on the surface of the blanket make identification, tracking and inspection of Insulfrax S Blanket simple on the job site or in the fabrication shop. Insulfrax S Blanket is classified by Underwriters Laboratories (UL), per UL 723 (ASTM E-84). Flame Spread Rating = 0, Smoke Developed Rating = 0. High tensile strength and excellent thermal properties combine to make Insulfrax S Blanket the product of choice for a wide range of applications in a number of industries.

Isofrax 1260C Blanket is the product of a long-term research and development effort by Unifrax to produce an insulating blanket which has the high temperature performance characteristics required in many applications at temperatures up to 1260C (2300F) and also meets European regulatory requirements (Directive 9769EC). Isofrax 1260C Blanket provides:

Isofrax 1260C Blanket has excellent chemical stability and is unaffected by most chemicals except hydrofluoric and phosphoric acids and concentrated alkalies. Isofrax 1260C Blanket also provides superior resistance to attack from molten aluminum alloys at high temperatures.

Isofrax 1260C Blanket is an inorganic, needled insulating blanket which is manufactured using Isofrax 1260C spun fibers. The extra long spun fibers, cross-locked through a unique forming process, produce a blanket with good handling strength. Fibermax Needled Blanket

Fibermax Needled Blankets are high temperature, lightweight and flexible products manufactured from polycrystalline mullite fiber that can be exposed to temperatures up to 1600C (2912F). These blankets contain no organic binders or other additives which cause outgassing fumes or associated problems. In addition to exhibiting excellent resistance to most corrosive agents, Fibermax Needled Blankets also resist oxidation and reduction.
Fibermax Needled Blankets are virtually free from shot (unfiberized particles). That makes it ideal for use in environments where the presence of shot is undesirable. The low shot content results in a product with extremely low thermal conductivity. Its unique fiber layup and needling process provide Fibermax Needled Blankets with outstanding consistency, handling strength and resiliency at elevated temperatures.

Saffil Blanket

Saffil Blankets are high temperature, lightweight, needled blankets manufactured from high purity, polycrystalline fiber with a polypropylene carrier to optimize strength and flexibility.
Refractoriness
Low shrinkage at high temperature (1600C) ensures long life in the most demanding applications. High fuel and maintenance cost savings can be made. Stability of the material at high temperature removes the problem of lining degradation over time, which can result in premature lining failure or cosly contamination of product.
