Baby Corn production demand is expanding worldwide, especially in Asia, Africa and South America, although historically and as of today, Asia still has the highest baby corn production and consumption globally.

While still a recent development in India, many farmers in different parts of the country are taking up contract farming for baby corn. This is a very highly adapted crop and grows well in a wide range of soil types.

Global Green Company, with its expertise in agriculture and processed food, introduced baby corn production to its portfolio of crop production in 2013. Our Oblapura facility in Karnataka, India, currently processes more than 500 metric tons of baby corn in retail packs (glass jars). Global Green Company is the only company in the world that is producing Fair Trade baby corn, which is currently being distributed and sold in Europe.

Hungary is at the southern part of the green pea growing belt in Europe. Our farmers ensure harvest of continuously fresh raw material within the short production cycle of around 30 days based on a carefully and meticulously created periodic sowing plan.

A wide range of varieties bred in Hungary and neighbouring countries are available through Global Green Company. The Puszta plant processes 20 varieties of green peas, numbering 3, 300 metric tonnes across 500 hectares.

Green peas produced at Puszta are available throughout the year, are high in fibre, and have favourable and balanced nutritional profiles consisting of carbohydrates, proteins, and B1-B2 vitamins.

As Global Green Company aims to be a world leader in value added fruit and vegetable products, tomatoes have become the latest addition to our product range. In 2012, we strategically decided to take up large scale contract farming of hybrid tomatoes (processing varieties UG-37, UG-157, UG-52, which all have high colour value), to meet the growing demand of tomato paste and tomato paste based sauces in India.

Global Green Company has established farmer groups and small cooperatives to ensure the highest standard quality of tomatoes are grown. Once trained we ensure our farmers stay with us year on year.

Global Green Company grows tomato produce from the best known tomato growing pockets in the Indian states of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh which have the distinct advantage of two growing and harvesting seasons annually.

Today Global Green Company is Indias largest hybrid tomato contract farming company and also one of the nations largest processers of conventional tomatoes, processing over 20, 000 tonnes of fresh fruit last year. We make value-added tomato based products under our flagship brand Tify including ketchup, pasta sauce, tomato blend, pizza sauce, and more.

Hungary is among the worlds largest operators in the market of sweet corn having the largest acreage in Europe approximately 37, 000 hectares per year. The countrys climatic, topographical and soil characteristics make it suitable for the production of high quality sweet corn.

Our division Puszta Konzerv Kft, processes 25, 000 tonnes of sweet corn on 1, 500 hectares annually, with a 70:30 ratio of super sweet to sweet varieties. Success of production is essentially determined by a variety of agricultural factors. Puszta can pack corn in retail packs (glass jars and cans).
