For use with Gator-Flex, Tri-Flex and 6-strand wire rope slings. The easily installed thimble reduces sling abrasion when a choker hitch is used. Heavy wall thickness reduces the danger of the thimble to stretch under load. Also recommended to place eye over irregular shaped objects.

Slip-Through Thimbles

For use with Gator-Flex, Tri-Flex and 6-strand wire rope slings. These thimbles are designed to allow passage of an identical thimble through its eye to make a choker hitch. The large inside dimension allow the thimbles to fit large crane hooks. Rope retention ears can be bent over the wire rope.

Heavy Duty Wire Rope Thimbles

We use Heavy Duty thimbles with all UNI-LOC wire rope slings. They withstand the working load conditions of the slings but when severely overloaded they will noticeably stretch. Note that you can not feed this thimble through an identical one to make a choker hitch (use Slip-Through Thimbles)

Solid Thimbles

Solid Thimbles are used where the sling (or rope) is connected to a straight pin. This makes an excellent permanent installation. Within certain limitations we can increase or bush the bore hole, or we can mill down dimension H to fit a narrower slot. These thimbles are mainly used on crane ropes.
