The modular shafted screw conveyor system is highly versatile offering numerous solutions for conveying flowable bulk solids. Shafted screw conveyors are manufactured from mild steel, AR (abrasion-resistant) steel, stainless steel and other alloys, with a suitable surface finishing. They are made up from a U or V-shape trough that is equipped with at least one outlet spout, an end plate at each trough end, helicoid or sectional screw flighting welded on a center pipe bushed at each end, end bearing assemblies complete with shaft sealing unit, a certain number of intermediate hanger bearings depending on the overall length of the screw conveyor, and bolted trough cover sections.

High-Temperature Screw Conveyors

Extra heavy-duty MT HT Trough Screw Conveyors and Feeders are designed for medium-high temperature (MT-series) and high temperature (HT-series) applications. For this reason intermediate bearings are absent. MT HT are manufactured from carbon or stainless steel with appropriate surface treatment. They are made up of a U-shape trough equipped with at least one outlet spout, an end plate at each trough end, helicoid screw flighting welded on a centre pipe with flanged coupling at each end, two end bearing assemblies complete with offset shaft seal, and a bolted trough cover usually equipped with at least one inlet spout. Furthermore, MT HT Screw Conveyors are equipped with a gear motor that suits the application.

Engineered Shaftless Screw Conveyors

Driven Type 0.75 HP to 10 HP

The SSC shaftless screw conveyor is an alternative concept to the traditional shafted screw conveyor. Shaftless screws are available from 6 to 24 diameters in single flight and 9 to 24 diameter in double flight configurations. Material is conveyed by an extra-heavy-duty shaftless screw that slides on a wear-resistant liner inside the conveyor trough housing. The U-troughs are manufactured in carbon steel or in 304 L 316 L stainless steel, including an appropriate surface treatment. The lower part of the trough has an appropriate liner installed. At one trough end there is a standard bottom discharge or open end type outlet. At the drive end the screw conveyor is equipped with an end plate holding the end bearing assembly with flanged shaft coupling with the screw. The drive unit installed suits the application.
